ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Sadly Geoff Rayner, a long time supporter of Central Coast Football, passed away suddenly last night.

Geoff only turned 50 last week.

Geoff has played over 35's for a number of years at Gosford.

He has coached and managed Central Coast Rep sides particularly at Branch Titles.

He leaves behind his wife Jenny, two sons and two daughters

It is on the Gosford F.C Website. But it specified the DOD on Thursday 30/7/09.

It is with sadness that we advise our members of the passing of Geoff Rayner. Geoff passed away suddenly on Thursday 30 July.

Geoff served on the Gosford City Soccer Club/Football Club committee for 4 years, including  3 years as treasurer. He also played for our club for several seasons as well as coaching junior teams.  Naturally, as a club our thoughts are with his family at this time. Our over 35 teams wore black armbands and observed a minute's silence prior to the kickoff of their matches last weekend, as a mark of respect for Geoff's contribution to our club.

Geoff was not only a great supporter of football at Gosford City FC, but was also involved as a referee and as part of the CCF Lightning program. His loss represents a sad day for Gosford City Football Club, and a sad day for football on the Central Coast.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday 6 August at Wyoming Catholic Church at 12pm.

Vale Geoff.
