ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

USA league games

Jazzie

Sheer joy at beating the scum :)
I've actually watched a couple of the USA league games ... would like to hear some comments on comparison of the local games versus the USA league games. Not the structure or the running of the league, just the ability and watchability (if there is such a word), ... you get my drift. Moderators, feel free to transfer if you feel it isn't appropriate.

MLS is a stronger league than the A-League.

I watched a few games on ESPN and the standard is quite good. Lots of Hispanics, central Americans and South Americans playing so technically it is quite good.

i get the feeling that the tactics and team structures are tighter here. Teams seem to be more easily broken down by individual skill than here.

I remember reading that our worst paid players are significantly better paid than theirs and that would be a contributor - a tactically strong side is still only as strong as its weakest player. The weaker the bottom end players the weaker the structure. However, the money that brings players like Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Juan-Pablo Angel, Freddi Ljungberg and David Beckham guarantees that you'll see some quality players and good skills on show.
