    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Best band in Australia, bar none.  Even better live.

I've loved these guys going on 12 years now, and I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen them live - a highlight amongst highlights was seeing them at CCLC in October 2006.  An amazing gig barely 10 minutes from my house from one of my all time favourite bands.  Simply awesome.

Anyways, they've got a new album out on the 19th July - 'White Noise'.  Should be top notch.

What do y'all think of them??  Anyone seen them live??

i think they've got one song, slightly changed numerous times over. 'saw' them at BDO years ago (99/2000 or thereabouts, and by 'saw' i mean walked past the stage they were on) - plenty of people there enjoying themselves and whatnot, but does nothing for me.

different strokes etc. :)

I think they supported AC/DC in Sydney a few years back around 5 or 6 years ago?? ???

Stand up bass aswell come on!! that's awesome
I've got their first three lp's but sorta lost touch after that

Yeh, luv em as well. I saw them at Wyong Leagues a few years back and had a ball. The band does have a certain sound, but that doesn't mean that every song is the same song. I suppose if you simply don't like the music its easy to say they all sound the same, but its different if you actually listen to each song.

damn saw this thread thinking theyre playing live up here somewhere... i have seen them once live at the enmore theatre when i lived in sydney - as mentioned, great on cd- even better live - great aussie band. would def go see them again

they were only good around 1999. they have a few ok songs but definitely not the best Australian band ever.

I have seen them live and i thought they were mediocre.

they are a good live band
but all their songs all sound the same
