ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The Socceroos thread.

What does the calendar look like for this phase of qualifying? Travel restrictions/exceptions could make or break us if we can’t host home games.

Jan would still let us host Vietnam and Japan. Would like to host the Saudi’s in November though. Bit of time to go before then so who knows.

The Socceroos’ upcoming World Cup qualifiers could become the first international sports events hosted in Australia since the pandemic began without the need for teams to go through 14 days of quarantine, as Football Australia continues advanced talks with the government to fast-track exemptions.

Australia’s second stage of qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar begin at home on September 2 against China but the FA needs the federal government to waive the mandatory 14-day quarantine for arrivals for the game to go ahead.

Oh, our right wing media is going to love this - Chinese team, no quarantine, sokker.

so it looks like no home qualifiers
speculation really. The only certainty is the upcoming game, anything beyond that is a guess with the info we have available. October might be a stretch but I wouldn't write off November depending on the vax numbers and different gov risk appetites. I'd suggest NSW is the more likely to allow special arrangements since there's covid in the wild already, while WA for example might maintain the strict line. Weird times ahead.

No Matthew Leckie
I doubt there will be many if any local players. Our quarantine restrictions make travel so difficult.
