ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

It's so bloody quiet on here! Maybe this can be an open thread to talk about whatever - a place to pop in and post whatever's on your mind.

For me - I'm back to uni tonight. Just doing a maths course this semester (well... re-doing, just missed a P first time up...). Was at uni doing a coupla things first thing this morning and it never ceases to shock me how young the first-years look! I swear some of them are only 12. They're going to be carded every time they go to Manning or Hermanns, that's for sure.

i).  Going back to Uni via distance at the half year to study History and Teaching
ii).  Moving down South (Cambridge) in a few weeks
iii).  Awaiting the outcome of my ticket ballot for United/Liverpool
iv).  Going on a ski trip to SE France for my birthday soon

I do miss the beach though.  No idea what the European summer is actually like - anyone on here been in these parts of the world in July/August before??

I just looked at that thread - in the new forum incarnation it was just talking about drinking (And Sym bagging bad spelling! And I missed it!). This is a general purpose, no theme, post whatever thread.

EDIT - and at the time I was creating that thread I had utterly forgotten it had ever existed.

Another question for previously travelled Euro-folk - possibly Dibo or Mick.

Have got 3 spare days in the general area of Turin/Genoa/Milan/Nice/Monaco to kill soon.  Recommendations??

Nice would be fantastic this time of the year. There is a backpackers at the top the hill that used to be a convent - awesome place to be.

Unless you are frocking up and going to a casino in the evening you can cover Monaco in an hour.

Just out of Nice/Cannes is Grasse - the home of the French perfume industry. really interesting stuff and tours and you can get plenty of man smells as well.

Maybe Cinque Terre on the est coast of Italy if you haven't been. Genoa is nearby and very pretty but also expensive.

Unless you are gong to see Juventus play pass on Turin. Milan is a cracking city and you should really see a football game at San Siro.

If you are into wine the Piedmont region is fantastic - rolling hills filled with vineyards, pretty little hill towns (aside from Asti) and good food.

Yeah, am getting one for the 3 days.  Was thinking of going to Nice then making my way back up to Milan via Genoa, stay in Milan the last night then back to Turin for my evening flight.

Nice is lovely. A seaside holiday town with snow capped mountains behind it and a gorgeous beachside promenade. Wintertime's great there - it's not too cold and it's not too crowded.

Daytrip to Monaco, walk the F1 track and go up to the palace (for the sensational view rather than the palace itself) and then go back to Nice. There's really not a lot there aside from conspicuous wealth and the sort of people who will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes.

Seeing as this thread is random (and the Zombiepocalypse is a revolution of sorts)..... ;D

SCUM Joke .. not sure if it's in the right place ....R what the heck the Pish thread will do...

Oldie but well put together this ...

The Scum have no chance against the Nix's... has something to do with the 60's and famous people of that era... Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder (OK 70's import), & Bob Hope...

You see Scum have no hope of winning because they have no cash (ie being wound up by Knights) and no bloody wonder (they have Con) ...
