Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Personally I think the man is a legend and one of the finest academic/political writers of the last *insert long period of time here*.  Has the balls to write what a lot of people think, but would never dare say.  Google him/buy one of his books, particularly his more recent works with regards to American Foreign Policy and the Existence of Israel - thoroughly good reading.

Dude i have watched DVDs on his poltical lectures he tells it like it is and basically a different version of Michael Moore yet Michael Moore is Politics/comedy but Chomsky is serious and does question the whole of American and Western Politics.

he put forward a lot of good ideas. but there are also plenty of faults in what he says. this is for an education perspective
