ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners v Welly (Pride Round)

Not enough red cards or penalties given away apparently. That's at least 8 points dropped due to Kaltak. At least we won't see him for minimum 2 games now (3 reds).

Monty needs to accept that his golden boy has caused us a lot of dropped points and deal with it accordingly. It's just as big a failure for a coach to not admit his mistakes.

Have we ever had a player pick up 3 reds in a season? How thick do you have to be to continuously perform sliding tackles in the aleague and give the ref an opportunity to send you off. After you've already been sent off twice for the same thing. Amateur mindset.

It might not be fair but everyone knows by now we don’t get treated fairly, you have to be smart, mature and professional. Aleague refs are cheats, APL want a Sydney team in the Sydney stadium they've done the deal for. If you can't understand that and you expect to be treated fairly you're a mug.
You're a mug for accepting blatant corruption Kaltak is class and times those tackles brilliantly, like he did on Friday and against Sydney. Monty knew he was an untapped talent and it's not his fault he coaches the poorest and most hated club (within the APL).

No need to call names because you have a different opinion.

Please provide concrete evidence of “blatant corruption”.

Yes. I personally yelled at him. But then he was good thereafter. However his pie eating assistant was honestly the most extensive roaming outside of a technical area I’ve seen in a good while.
The pie-eater is the set piece coach and seemed to think that gave him freedom to go where he wanted at set pieces.

There were times when he was 20 metres out of the technical area for set pieces at the palm tree end and times for set pieces at the bowlo end when he was literally stood next to the 4th official - and bellowing instructions so not inconspicuous - whilst the 4th official studiously ignored him. So if Monty's card was for leaving the technical area then it is BS of the highest order.

Sitting in bay 6, I would say we are among the more disciplined benches for observing the technical area rule.

Iirc, when Zad had is All-Access episode, there was a scene of the 4th official reprimanding him for being outside the TA, and Zad staying put and dismissively telling the official he had more important things to worry about, at which point the official meekly retreated.

But hey look, Monty took a step out of his area....

On the subject of technical areas, it would be good if Simmo or Andy Bernal took the role of Sergio's assistant this weekend in Monty's absence. The sight of either of them stood next to Sergio would ensure Jess Van Gobshite wouldn't be running down the touchline to mouth off at our bench, would be staying safe in his TA hiding behind Rudan.

Bernal looked like he was up for a rumble with the Nix bench at the end of last week's game unit he got hauled away, reckon he would make short work of JVG.
