ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Remind me who got our golden boot last season? We haven't replaced him either.

I agree overpaid but I couldn't fault his effort
Effort is (should be) a non negotiable. Effort alone players are a thing of the past, you need atleast some level of football ability at the professional level. Don’t get me wrong, I expected alou to improve his technical ability after his debut season, it can be argued he’s gone backwards since.

That, on top of being the only player we’ve ever paid a transfer fee for, is the most retarded piece of business the club has ever done.
I will eat my hat if he ends up at another aleague side. Back to NPL surely.
Scored the goal that got the club its biggest prize money.

And we signed Ben Kennedy amongst other shit signings in the past of FlappyJoe last season.

Koul played hard. Sure he missed some he should of scored but he got shit service and tried his guts out.

Can’t agree with comment at all.

Better not be DPC. That would explain the wiggle
DPC is never going to be the starting keeper next season. We played moneyball with Pav and he turned out to be a dud as was Jack. DPC was the best of the 3 even though he was a raw kid. Other teams were coached to shoot on sight hoping for a howler.
DPC will be a very good keeper in his 20's but he is not a starting A League keeper in any team in the A League atm.
The wiggle is an experienced keeper (somehow an international!) and exactly what we need on a short term contract.

Feel bad for Sash but the writing was on the wall ever since the boxing day incident.

Any idea where he will go next? Loved his aura at the club

36 and well past it, watching balls go in and not even diving for them last season. He was a good keeper but he's had his day. NPL beckons. On our money I'd rather persevere in developing DPC. Season's already shot anyway, unless there turns out to be a white knight investor there's no way we'll be top 6.

Sad to see Alou go but he did underachieve and at 350k I can understand the decision. I would have kept Sasha but I don't know what physical shape he is in. Will and Noah was on the cards.

Unpopular opinion.............. but Doka is not that good a player.....he looks good in our side because we are a bargain basement outfit now and he is our only creative outlet.

Torres, Tulio, Cummings, Triantis, Faz, Niz and Max are all more hurtful loses imho.

It is a testament to our lack of depth that our FB was our best player. Having said that I hope he stays but I doubt it.

We will have to agree to differ.

So with 24/25 contracts officially expiring today, is it safe to assume that those still awaiting official announcement are either re-signed or sold?

Assume we're saving some re-signing announcements to soften the blow of official departures like Doka.

Or will just leave on a free. Brandtman, Duarte, McCalmont, Paull & Theoharous are all in this boat.
