Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Aiden O’Neill wins 2019 #MarinersMedal

Aiden O’Neill has claimed top honours at the 2019 #MarinersMedal, being named as the best Central Coast Mariners’ player during the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season. The 2019 #MarinersMedal was proudly sponsored by Collaborative Construction Solutions.

The Burnley Football Club loanee notched 23 appearances, scoring four goals as either a defensive midfielder or member of the backline this season.

A dual winner on the night, O’Neill also claimed the Club’s Players’ Player Award that is decided on a 3-2-1 basis, voted by the players across the Hyundai A-League season.

Snake was the other big winner of the night, picking up all three supporter awards – voted as the McDonald’s Fans’ Player of the Year, Central Coast Mariners Official Supporters Club Player of the Year & Men of Football Damien Brown Medal winner.

For the first time ever, voting for the 2019 #MarinersMedal was decided upon by a combination of fan, player and coaching staff votes. The above fan awards, all contributed to the #MarinersMedal winner where Aiden O’Neill slightly edged Snake and Kye Rowles.

Those in attendance on the night had the chance to vote for the club’s Noel Spencer Goal of the Year Award. The 2019 #MarinersMedal attendees voted Jack Clisby’s goal against Wellington Phoenix in Round 21 as the best strike of the season.

The club’s Golden Boot Award was taken out by Club Captain, Matt Simon who scored seven goals in 20 appearances this season.

A new award was also introduced on the night, in collaboration with the Yellow & Navy Foundation. Any Hyundai A-League player who is new to the club is eligible to win the Yellow & Navy Newcomer of the Year award and this year it went to Jordan Murray. Jordan hung up his tools as an electrician to chase a lifelong dream of becoming a professional footballer. The award recognises a young athlete who has persevered in their journey both on and off the football pitch.

Josh Nisbet was rewarded for his outstanding season by winning the Foxtel Y-League Player of the Yearaward for the second year running.

The #MarinersMedal is also about celebrating outstanding achievements off the field.

The Chairman’s Award is presented annually to an exceptional individual within the Mariners who is deemed to have gone above and beyond for the benefit of the Club. Central Coast Mariners Academy Director Ken Schembri took home the award for his outstanding work with the Club’s Academy.

Algis Sutas is one of our most passionate team members and took home the Volunteer of the year awardfor his continued commitment to the Yellow & Navy since season one.

Happy for Aiden grabbing the 2 big ones. Hope that sees him in good stead when he goes back to Burnley. Being 19 and being one of the consistent stand outs over the horrific season. Not easy.
9/10 19year olds would crumble mentally.
