Can't believe we're actually here. Freezing my tits off in Melbourne, I'm insanely jealous of everybody who is able to turn up to this momentous occasion.

No matter what happens from here, we've absolutely made it this season. We've all suffered, hard, and this is redemption.

I hope to hear everybody loudly and proudly let go of years of suffering and torment tomorrow to bring the goddamn roof down.

Because of the stadium acoustics, the away bay always has a big noise advantage - I want to hear you all completely drown out the bull gropers!!!

I started this because I thought it might be simpler to have match threads rather than the 'WE'RE IN BABY!!' thread, but I'm sure Adz will shut it down if he disagrees!!

No matter what happens, the boys have done the badge bloody proud this season. Mammoth effort, better than anybody could have hoped for.

Alen Stajcic has named his squad for Saturday, as the Mariners prepare for their first A-League Finals match in over seven years against Macarthur.

Daniel DeSilva has returned to the squad after missing matches against Newcastle and Western United, with Jordan Smylie added to the extended group too.

Stajcic is set to be without Oliver Bozanic though, who will miss the clash after withdrawing in warmups before last Saturday's win over Western United.

The clash kicks off at 7pm, and with a bumper crowd set to roll in it is best to buy your tickets early!

Ollie still out - that'll hurt but I think we're still okay.

Shaun Evans in the middle......he's a f**kup, but at least he doesn't usually seem to favour any particular team. KGJ in VAR, I'm sure you all know my thoughts on him. Seems like Evans is still in the running for the GF then.

DDS is in - need a huge match from him. Let's move past any conspiracy theories from last time and accept his injury at face value.

Reec is in again. Interesting, big call to potentially play somebody so inexperienced in the finals, but he does give another attacking sub option - and given people are concerned that we've been 'figured out', that can only be a good thing. Of course, he might still get cut from the match day squad. Same as Smylie.

With Hall in, I'm much less worried about RT being out.

Terrifying thing is that I have hope. We can absolutely win this - though being up 3-0 over the cows makes me think they could be even more dangerous than otherwise.

The boys need to believe in what got them this far this season and take the game to The Heiffers, not sit back and try to be over smart. Finals football is primarily about wanting it more than your opposition from the first whistle but the boys will still have play with smart aggression.

Control of the midfield will be the key, so I hope the absence of Ollie won’t derail that, although Nizzy has shown himself to be a more than capable replacement.

We also need our forwards to be at their best tomorrow night, as one goal may be enough to progress. It will be a rush getting there straight from my own game, so I will apologise now to anyone who might be sitting downwind from me.... :headbounce:

COYY! :overheadl:

Top Questions there. I thought it was Michael Parkinson........................NOT. Really that was hard to hear such stupid questions but Nizzy did well.

7 long years since a Finals game. I remember that loss to WSW away like it was yesterday.

Lots of hurt, lots of agony, lots of disillusionment since that night, but what a ride this season has been. Staj with a point to prove from the Matildas saga, Oli coming home, Matty Simon providing his best season goal wise in many years, and combine that with the young players coming through, Nis, Hatchy, Hall, Alou etc. The pride in the badge has been restored and every fan who stuck through deserves tonight.

Looking forward to screaming my lungs out in Bay 16.

Come on you mighty yellows.
