ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

For anyone interested in British football history this is a facinating site with old footage of English and Scottish grounds shot between 1979-1981.

Personally familiar with many of the Scottish grounds they bring back a mixture of good and bad memories. Many of them no longer exist and the ones still in existence bear almost no resemblence to the grounds on film here. Many of the old terraces shown here weren't even concrete. The huge Hampden park which has had attendances around the 130-140,000 mark had terraces made with railway sleepers and ash.If you were in the covered end when Scotland scored you couldn't see for the next five minutes until the dust had settled again!

I still preferred Tannadice, the home of DUFC the way it was then but many of the other grounds were crumbling heaps at that time.

My worst away ground back then was Hibs ground Easter road in Edinburgh. The away end was a huge open terrace and used to cop the full force of winds, sleet etc coming in off the river forth.

In England it brings back memories to see Old Trafford as it was when we played Man Utd in the UEFA Cup in '84.

And for GP the link to craven cottage even has a reserves game happening at the time of filming.

If you're interested in this sort of stuff and have plenty time to waste.......... :)
