ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Central Coast Council Protest

Morning all

Sorry a little off topic today, but this does affect us all as Coasties!

Most of you would be aware of the catastrophe that is currently Central Coast Council. So far their only form of action is a proposed rates increase of 10 or 15%. This won’t only affect ratepayers but tenants, local business, everyone!

We are holding a protest tomorrow night (don’t stress it’s before the game??) at Gosford council chambers at 6pm. It would be greatly appreciated if some of you could walk up the hill before the game and support us

And then we will walk back down the hill to witness our mighty Mariners ??

There`s a survey on the council website regarding the proposed 10% increase for 7 years or a permanent 15% increase.
Surely there`s other options like selling one of the council buildings as we don`t need one in Wyong and one in Gosford.
We also don`t need to double up on staff in each area either.

I`d rather the 2% yearly increase + 8% for 7 years as long as the administrators take legal action against those that knowingly did the wrong thing.
That pays back the overspent money and then the council of the day decides what to do next.
