ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Away strips

When is the A-league going to get away from the boring white kit for away teams? Or are we doomed to play in white forever?

When we do, has anyone thought about what kind of jersey would look good as a Mariners away strip? I guess reverse colours to the home strip, but then we'll look too much like the Pheonix... or they'll look to much like us ;)

Yeah, i feel the same way, i think they should ditch the whole white away jersy when we get more teams in the comp. And have Gold Coast Galaxy play in white maybe.

I'm pretty sure there was a 5 year agreement signed to have the away team always play in white.

So it's here until the end of 2009/2010 season.

I understand each strip is allowed changes every other year (for merch $) so there'll be some variation to the away strips next season.

I actually think our V1 and V2/3 away strips look really good. First time I saw the V1 one live was when we beat Sydney 3-2 in Rd 4 - it still looks beautiful.

I think there's still scope (for most clubs) to do something more distinctive while still around the white.

When possible, I reckon we should go mostly navy like the socceroos alternate strip, with small amounts of yellow.

Of course this means when playing melb, syd, perth, or wellington away our home strip would clash less than the away. Also navy could be too hot.

reverse the colours on the home kit, and the boca home and away jerseys are about right for us i reckon. have the boca home kit as a third kit perhaps...
