ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

ALW R15 vs Western United

Again dominating but again fragmented in the front third. No cohesion.

Rola is so frustrating. A girl of her size should not be pushed off the ball so often and she slows down rapidly when she dribbles the ball.

Teams are working us out. Mark Urgs heavily and you dramatically cut our attacking strength.

Yeah she really needs to just stay on her feet and be stronger in those challenges.
Can see the class of Simon already.

Our passing was horrible today. Pitch seems to play slow but we never adapted at all and continually under hit simple balls.

Badawiya needs to be stronger and faster on those 1 on 1 chances.

Second goal came about through some poor decision making by the keeper. Very avoidable.

Simon looks promising and when she can start we’ll have much more teeth in attack.

Few notes from the game
- Western seemed a lot better at using the full width of the pitch, and spreading out back 4 out.
- Once Badawiya improves 1v1s and pace, will be a fantastic striker
- passing wasn't as good as I've seen on TV games, but as mentioned above, WU'S press was pretty good all game
- subs were well used. Simon's off the ball runs are from a much higher standard than the ALW. Just need a midfielder who can make the passes
- and lastly, forget how weird watching football is in Tasmania. No atmosphere and no noise as a cross comes in or a shot is blocked. It's bizarre. Was an absolutely lovely day weather wise.

WU were a well drilled side and showed why they are second in the league. We toiled hard but if we don’t convert the chances we create at a higher percentage rate, we are going to find it difficult to win games like this one.

Wurguqmila has faded badly out of games in recent weeks and perhaps Simon’s return will give our opponents someone else to focus on and allow her to rediscover her mojo.

Let’s hope our girls can trip up Victory at the double header. ??
