The chairman and owner of the Central Coast Mariners (Mike Charlesworth) has:
(1) halted all player re-signings;
(2) stopped future recruitment; and
(3) enforced a 25% budget cut across the club.

Charlesworth also warned the APL that he may be forced to relinquish the Mariners' A-League licence unless current negotiations with potential investors are successful.

We heard of the potential apl threat a few months back obviously fingers crossed we don't get to license being handed back to apl
