Signing a new striker if the McCormack loan disappears is essential.

Matty is passed it and I would say there is more chance of Hoole finding A-league form than Gamiero making a successful comeback.

In fact I give both of them 2 chances and I will leave it to you to tell what those two chances are.

January could be interesting, however good strikers are as hard to come by as good full backs, and a lot more expensive. I suspect a better replacement, if Ross goes would be a a quality #10 al Patricio.

Just heard that the specialist has confirmed McCormack's knee is cooked and requires surgery. Flies home tomorrow, not sure if that means for good but you would think so.

Insurance and injury replacement for Ross surely.

God we know how to do it the hard way.

How far off is Murray? I like him a lot. This could be his big chance. He deserves a crack before we give it to another import.

I don’t see them sending money on a 10. Though I don’t disagree with you,

Dont disbelieve you.

Speaking to Mulvey at CCLC on the night of his Coaching Announcement, I was really interested in his philosophy of what he thought was really important concerning which areas of play were pivotal in signing players for how he wanted to set the team up, using the Marquee as an example

I asked him if, but don't count on Charlesworth giving you the money, but a big IF MC did pony up some ca$h for a Marquee 'who or what type of player would you go after ? "

His answer verbatim;
"A player like Besart Berisha, he's a proven goal scorer !"

He added more to his answer but in the moment, my brain started ticking over 'Great a Striker ! ....... hopefully not another Asdrubal and ...well .... Besart is heavily rumoured to be going to Yokohama Marinos to link back up with Ange Postecoglou, so I highly doubt you'll convince himto come here (CCM) without paying him more coin than he can get in Japan ... ???
- Bes signed 2mnths later with Sanfrecce instead.

At the time, thinking about Charlesworth spending that sort of coin I felt like asking Mulvey, "Are you familiar with that famous quote from that Aussie movie The Castle ???" .......

But I chose not to ask
........ didn't want spoil 'the vibe'

But, yeah... Mulvey obviously has a hard-on for the guy.

Unsure if he'd fit with what we've got at the moment, he offers a different kind of 'fire' than Simo.

A poacher ....... but a seriously clinical & crafty poacher at that !!

Sorry. I know there’s been a lot of strong sentiments on this. But if the mad Albanian can win us a few games - I don’t care if he’s an asshole. Happy for him to be our asshole.

We can do a lot worse than the 33 year old all time HAL scorer currently playing (well sort of) in Japan.

If I could get over having stomper. Then Berisha is a cake walk.

Point of order Mr speaker. He's a kosovar I believe. Wasn't a country until recently.
Sorry, continuing the pedant theme
Bes was pretty poor in his last season at victory. With good service. I'm sure he would love the challenge of doing everything in the front third but I think that Bes is gone.

If Mulvey remembers the Berisha of a few seasons ago he may be disappointed. More capable of making a chance on his own than Simon but still not the player he was. Still doesn’t work without better service.

That reasoning hasn’t stopped recruiting this season ........... He may well fit into the yesteryear theme .......... and the mongrel theme:popcorn:
