I forget his name but why does the commentator we had yesterday always called Angel Torres "Marco Torres"

I call it the Hutchinson fall, he perfected it and passed it on to other mariners who have passed it on down the line.

Faz, Nisbet & Ballard are all excellent at it
Kaltak even had a go on Sunday and while he wouldn’t score the same points for style it was effective

The boys are building into something formidable, different to last season but formidable. The league is wide open right now too.
Yeah i can see it too. Have got over the instability and now needing polish. If the new brazlian can fire and the pom striker can bury them we will be very dangerous. Our defence is now back to its best and we are hard to beat without the attackers pulling their weight.

Just need Alou to start producing the highlight reels and we will be there

And also, so happy for Theo scoring, he had a great game. I can’t believe the bashing he’s copped on here in recent weeks with comparisons to that deadshit Hoole, incredibly disrespectful. He ain’t lazy by any means and you know it’s literally his job to take on players and be one of our more adventurous players with the ball, yeah? He’s gonna lose the ball sometimes he’s gonna try shit that might not come off, I’ve watched him closely since I saw the Hoole comparisons and “10,000 step overs” comments. Simply not the case.
Yeah theo had a couple off performances but he’s an electric winger, I feel like he’s a confidence player too, back him and he’ll deliver. Jacko is 110% backing him.

Love this post. Cheers Michael.

Hutch was still the master though. He wouldn't go into full flipper mode like Faz. He'd go to all fours over the ball instead, then continue to protect it by turning in circles. In Kungfu nomenclature, we used to call it "Wombat finds it hole"

Just watched the replay and saw quite a few things that I missed at the game.

Theo looked better than I thought he was yesterday. Best game for us so far. Still not fitting in to the flow of the team yet but hopefully MJ can get him there. Maybe like Torres he would be more comfortable on the left, but I cannot see him getting a look in there barring injury. Interesting playing a long ball to Storm who the heads infield to Theo. The move worked but did not produce much. Looking forward to Ronald battling with him for the position.

Massive game by Maxy. Saw much more of his work on the replay. He owned the midfield.
Long ball to Nizz on the left worked better than the one on the other side, Probably because of better/faster more attacking options with Fazz and Torres.
Alou was strong again with both wingers coming in narrow he could develop as a force with his back to goal. We did not lose much when Reed replaced him. Both are getting better every week.
Hope Tappy's injury is not serious. Watching at the ground he had ice strapped to his hamstring. The clowns on tv stated it was his knee. I wonder what the midfield will be if he is out next game.
With Storm getting that card I imagine we will see a full game from Dokka. A chance to show us what he has got, he definitely looks keen enough.
I do not want to see a back 3 with wingbacks. Although it seemed the logical solution with the injuries, we lost all defensive depth when we changed.

A gutsy win in difficult conditions against a bunch of rich losers.

Jacko is turning out to be a great choice as monty's replacement. I hope the Club can do as well with the Academy.

The clowns on tv gave the MOM to Nizzy but then gave that clown Nabbout 2 points over Torres. Probably explains why Mossy is commentating and no longer coaching, no idea.

Torres 3 points
Nizzy 2 points
Max and Danny 1 point and sign Danny for two more years.

Amazing how much better the army sound when everyone sings together instead of the bullshit that Max was copping in the first half from a bunch of guys a few rows behind him to the left. Was giving me the shits every time a chant was attempted they would go and try a different one against him. Either all sing together or don't bother. Its hard enough as it is without a roof to make noise at times. And dont get me started on people who sit in the active bay.
Rant over haha

I know it's not gonna happen but boy, if Cumdog was in this team to finish off the chances we create, we'd be odds on for top 2 and a plate threat. FWIW, we are 1st in the comp for xG, and 2nd for big chances created.

So so happy we made the peahearted plastics lose composure. Faz really made em lose it winning those push in the back fouls in added time. That 6-1 is never ever gonna be forgotten and they know it too.
As somebody on SFCU said, hopefully that 6-1 broke their club the same way Sydney's 6-1 over the Scum broke them for several seasons...
