ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round 1 v Scummers

he does have quality but he needs to show it more and work hard to be able to show it more.
That break away one on one in the first half he should’ve buried, a player of high quality buries that every day. He butchered it for himself
Looked disinterested for an hour. No excuse for that.
moresche comes on and buzz’s around constantly and showed his quality off the back of that.

The ball stopped on a dime in the wet. He has to slow down to get it under control and then was never comfortable and rushed as the defence got back. He provided the assist for Nisbet and forced the corner from which Farrell scored.

If Matty, Moresche or Tsekenis was partnering him in the first half and supporting like a twin striker then that would have been an easy layoff.

Thought we made much harder work of that then we needed to - The scum are rubbish and their defence is a shambles. We looked like a new side that will take some time to gel.
With so many young players on the pitch when they scored we froze (thats what young players do).
Finishing the game with 6 academy products on the pitch is an absolute credit to everyone at the club. finishing the game with 4 CB's in defence? Less so.Voted Niz as my MoM.
Still - FTS

not a chance it slowed in the wet, pitch was perfect and he just took a woeful first touch towards his left foot and then tried lacing the shot. If he took the touch in his stride it opens so many more angles for easier finishes. Blatantly butchered a massive chance

Sorry posted this in the wrong thread ...Thanks Scottmac

Probably one of the best Derbies for a few seasons. (Hutch would be proud)
So exciting, crunching tackles, great goals, our young players standing up and demanding to take their place in the team.
Newcastle had some good moments too but luck was with us today and it was about time to.
Ams had his usual WTF moments but that`s the norm with him.
It was good to see players like Rowles ,Ollie, Marko and Ruon really getting stuck in and standing up to the Jets, neither one of them took a backward step and how good was Farrell.
We missed Stens but Balard did an admirable job and will only get better.
Massive admiration for NIzzy and Farrell with their first A League goals and a place in out club history
Congratulations to Monty and Serge, a well deserved reward first up and also to Shaun for getting the game in Mudgee last week, a masterstroke in our preparation for this game...
