ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Also technically correct but doesn't have as big an impact as assumed. NSW was initially allocated 32% of deliveries based on a per capita basis, and during the worst of the outbreak had a pre allocation of their future volume sent early, but only received 35.9%, so not the massive jump that people think it is with other states only being effected by less that 1% of total national volume. NSW is now entering the phase on NOT receiving its full 32% allocations so the shortfall is redistributed to other states.
And this will also mean that the lag time between doses (which is greater in the other states) will come down as more Pfizer and now Moderna shots are delivered to the other states - though 150 doses a week to chemists that have a 7000-10000 person wait list in many states and regions means that supply is still the issue.

It does worry me that we dont have anything available for under 12s at the moment. Yes they're less likely to get a serious illness but it's only a small comfort. Perhaps Moderna will be approved soon for them as well - which is also a good answer for the areas short on pfizer. A lot of reports suggesting its actually better longer term.

This for me. My kids are under 12 and there is risk there

And they have been seen OS to be big spreaders of the Delta variant even if they don't get a bad dose themselves

Peacock says an A league club has 8 players not keen on vaccination and it isn’t WSW. I really hope it’s not us off the back of the rumour that surfaced on here a little while back. At the moment VIC looks to be requiring the jab for professional sports players which I expect would apply to visiting players. Can’t see them being alone either. Contract won’t be worth much if they can’t play outside of NSW

Not us.

43 cases on the Central Coast today. Still going up!
Our proportion of cases keeps rising. State going down, us going up. Not great. And with that rising number of cases more and more people are going to find themselves dragged into close contact status.

Hopefully that part disappears when we get to 80% because it won’t be feasible to stay on top of it.

It's going to get a lot worse, once shops and bars open you can basically forget about case counts, they'll explode.
People are just out and about as normal now at the places that are open.
Goodness knows what it'll be like when things really open up.
Even going for my Sunday afternoon stroll around my area today. Heaps of cars parked outside houses that aren't normally there.

I'll be the wanker still wearing a mask in colesworth by the way.

Forget about staying on top. Unless you're living in QLD or WA. (NT is out because they've got Howard Springs) the whole of NSW has taken the bullet for the country. This needed to happen and it was only going to be a liberal state.

Im not so sure about painting NSW as the hero here. Our response was botched and it should have been stopped in its tracks before it got out to western Sydney and then contained before it spread to the regions. But through botching it (deliberate or accidental) we’ve forced the population and the federal government in to speeding up the vaccine rollout. Scotty would still be telling us it’s not a race if it wasn’t for what happened. Had it been Victoria that rolled over and let it go Dan would have been crucified by the media. Not to mention Vic have endured lockdowns for the longest and they were more comprehensive. No wonder they’re not complying now after seeing the inevitable coming.

My brother in the UK has managed to avoid it so far, he's still wearing a mask everywhere and hand sanitising. I'll definitely be keeping it on for big stores and petrol stations
Yeah, I spoke to my brother the other day. It was his birthday and he wanted to see the new Bond movie.
But didn't want to sit in a cinema with potentially germy people coughing.

I've no great desire to be out and about too much for the time being.
No restaurants or pubs / clubs for us for a while.
I feel sorry for the people without work, but I'm sure there's going to be plenty of people going out.
I don't think I'll be missed.

To be honest I'm more concerned about getting my son back to school and for him to have interaction with his mates.

But going to the Mariners with a few thousand other. No problem. I'll be there.
