ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I thought Arzani was great in defence. He struggled going forward but did some fantastic work snuffing out some tricky Argentinian skills

Atkinson and Deng and to a slightly lesser degree McGree my top 3. If either of his worldy shots went in he'd be headline right now
That bicycle kick so deserved to go in, he got a great connection on it. I think lack of game time for Arzani is his only problem and he still has the x factor and wish in the first few minutes with his drive into the box he took the shot and not the pass.

I like that we stood up to them and I'm pretty sure they went in thinking we were a walk over but we tackled hard and Arnie made sure there was lots of speed up front and I'm pretty sure that was the reason Wales got a start. It all worked to plan as the Argies were shell shocked after 20 mins and couldn't really get back into the game. They were lucky it wasn't 3 or 4 goals to be honest. They really only had one good chance and that was the long shot that hit the top bar and had Glover done like a dinner.

Look, I love Wales and the fact that a Coastie scored at the Olympics but he wasn’t great last night. He was no near the attacking threats the others were, he butchered two easy chances and the goal he scored was an open goal. Tillio and the English lad should be starting over Wales and Arzani.

totally agree, but honestly, who f**king cares in this circumstance. Monumental win for an Australian football team in a competitive setting.

Duke should have scored the first one. Still don’t know how he missed it

He was a great outlet. Controlled every ball that came his way and then beat them at their own game of flopping for fouls.

Some of the ball movement was sloppy and Deng while had a great game almost came unstuck a few times with bad touches

It was one of those nights where every little thing went our way

And responsible for the goal, parked the bus and a free header with 5 at the back. Negative football doesn’t always work Arnie
I did notice that as soon as he came on all Spain's attacks came down the right. Atkinson was bloody good all night, I wouldn't expect to see him in the Aleague next season.

Picked up a yellow to miss the next game in last 30 secs. Pretty poor management by Arnie leaving him on. Played all 6 that were on cards now 3 miss the vital next game.

Yes and no. You need to have a squad. If they had held on for another few minutes then we might view it differently. These three will be available for the quarters, the other 3 may miss the quarters. As it is a draw or ow win in the last game we are through. i.e. Still in our own hands
