ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

In all honesty, what self respecting coach would want to come here or take the step up from youth? We have/had a coach who by most accounts was in the running for coach of the year and then decides to pack up and walk away. Until the ownership issue is sorted, it will be another round of a new coach every year.

Monty for sure, he and Kisnorbo are the only two in the whole of Aus who have their UEFA Pro Licences and look at how he has built our academy side up. He would also be a good drawcard for high quality players.
I suspect in time Monty will want to try his hand in England. Probably as an assistant first. Does taking our manager position help or hinder him gettimg back to SU.

I dont think it hinders, if he fails it's the old no support cop out. But if he has success it massively helps.

No matter how under funded, the opportunity to coach an A league side and work with a passionate back room staff that Staj called the best he's ever worked with, not to mention some of Australia's best youth, hasn't exactly done Staj's career any harm now has it.

There will be plenty of people willing to take the job, the trick is to find another one who can make the whole greater than the sum of it's parts.

Out of left field how about Muscat? An absolute c..t as a player but a good manager though not inclined to give youth a go at MV but most of their youth players were meh.At CCM would have to use the younger players.Definitely no team would stand over us with him as manager and the match officials would be on their guard.

We wouldn’t be able to afford him.

Let’s not kid ourselves, our new coach will be a rookie. We won’t pay anything less than cut price.

I would not renew if that happened (or if Rudan was coach)
