Bloody brilliant. Thought Casella was good tonight, worked very hard. We looked all over the shop when we changed the back line and mids right at the end, but going forward we looked much better with Urena and Reec. I thought Kuol was pretty rubbish tonight, really didn't look in it for mine.

It's noticeable that Casella goes forward at first touch and looks to attack. He gives that side a brilliant change from having a middle there that is possession first attack second. He also is busy. Always high tempo.
I think Nizzy showed tonight that he is much better suited to the middle. He defs made up for a poor performance against the jest.
Subs by Staj were perfect. I thought Hall and Miller did well at the end there when we got loose in the middle especially having never played together in the aleague. The run by Hatch at the end to create that goal was sublime. We definitely need to start signing players now. Will give the guys confidence going into the finals that they know where they are playing next year.

Just on Ollie’s withdrawal - felt a slight twinge in the last run through in the warm up, so decided not to risk him ahead of next week. Purely precautionary. Niz slotted in f**king seamlessly there, what a performance.

The delay in announcing Clisby’s goal was #RefsFault - he didn’t signal for a goal, linesman remained where he was, and then the ref signalled for a VAR check so we had to hold off. Super frustrating but faaark tell ya what I did not hold back announcing Marco’s goal!!

Great to finish with a win though we were under the pump for most of the second half.Magnificent effort by the team and coaching staff to finish third for the season.
A couple of brilliant saves by Birra.Hall was my MOTM-if Tongyik is lured away he is more than an adequate replacement.Nisbet did look back to his best following a subdued and substandard performance in the derby.Clisby again played well and picked up that all important first goal.

Kuol was a bit more involved tonight but still pretty ineffectual and Reec was lively and running into spaces away from defenders as Kuol should have been doing.Casella had a good game and used his pace to effect as did Hatch at the end to set up the goal.

I think Nizzy showed that he is an adequate replacement for Ollie tonight. I know he is contracted for next year but the sooner the Club gets him on a 3 year contract the better.
Great defending, excellent distribution and perception, a massive motor, and coped with Diamonti.
Excellent performance.

Haven't read any of the comments yet and just got home but here goes-

* Game was exactly as you'd expect when it's the final match of the regular season and both sides have nothing to gain/ lose from the result. CCM went through the motions and did just enough to get the win, Tarneit FC put the pressure on but were sloppy in their finishing. I haven't watched them play this season but if their usual standard had been sloppy + poor attitude I can see why their season stagnated like it did.

* As I've said before, Matty Hatch's stepfather is a colleague of mine and for the last 2 years, he's been whingeing about "When is Matty going to get game time with the A-League team?" He has played very little in this season so far but every time he's taken the field Matty has played like he's got a point to prove. That run up the sideline brushing off two defenders to set up the second goal was like watching Maradona. His efforts remind me of what we saw from Kuol at the start of the season. Great to see we've got a player of his skill and commitment, looking ahead.

* The prospect of the spoon bowl between the Tards and the Jest:

I think this may have been Rudan’s final game. Although, he’s in denial. At the press conference afterwards, hands clasped, he tried to contain his nervous twitch, but I still counted a staggering 50 eye blinks in the first 25 seconds. Some were flutters too - multiple bats of the eyelids that only a hummingbird would see. I only mention this as Rudan bragged about “dominating all the stats”. He’s dreaming. Yes Mark, two winks per second is a gold medal. That’s a stat for you.

A much better performance played at a much better Tempo.

Miller , Hall and Casella were fearless and gave us some much needed Zing. Nizzy was excellent. Stens did well.

Bouman frustrates the absolute crap out of me but he worked hard. The save by Birras on the line....priceless.

Clisby......what is happening with this bloke? This Goal scoring machine!

The run and pass by Hatch was SUPERB.

Bay 16 was rocking in the 2nd half (P.S. Please dont give Gibbo the Mega in future lol).

Astounding. To finish 3rd after everything we've been through. Just, incredible.
Man, feeling the distance away in Melbourne - would have been great to be in the bay and celebrating with some of you lot!

Was a good game to watch, bit nerve-wracking. Just great to see some of these players come good and some of the new talent come through.

Absolutely incredible. Congrats to Staj, the boys and all their supporting staff. Incredible achievement.
