Idiot. He is clearly the most technical player in the squad. Only Olli comes close. But his work rate doesn't fit what we are trying to do....and we are probably trying to sharft him like with did with Tommy H to ensure he doesn't get an extension.
As you say there seems to be a fit issue, if they are trying to avoid an extension I can see that as the reason. Where would you have us play him if he stays and is he worth a visa spot and foreigner money?

Only place I could see him playing is a CAM in a 4-2-3-1. He hasn’t been tearing up a wing or laying claim to a particular part of the pitch when he gets on. Won’t displace Oli or Stens, prob not Nisbet either so where?

CCM defence is looking better and has been over the past few weeks, which is going to be very handy coming into the tighter finals matches.

Apart from that, absolute bullshit. That was City's biggest home game in terms of the occasion and they couldn't even fill the place. 100% a penalty at the end but they couldn't let anything get in the way of City getting their special moment at home. I don't hate City (or their Manchester counterparts) but I despise everything they represent.

f**k the useless VAR. But screw the result. City are a great side and we absolutely gave it to them. Everything we did at the start pf the season bar get a goal. Couldn't ask for more and couldn't be prouder of that performance. My only negative was how poor I thought Nigro was again.

Other thoughts.. Olly he is a fantastic playerfor us, but I think Olly is too wasteful in attack and also needs to get it wide quicker at times and is dwelling on it too often.

Shame we couldn't get much penetration (though Miller did welland helped when he came on) but City are an excellent defensive side. Kuol doesn't look integrated. He is making runs but the ball never comes. Matty has had a great season, but is a yard off the pace compared to the leagues top strikers. Only Urena looks the goods for us really atm but he's mostly looking to create final balls and we need someone at the pointy end.

Honestly though, we were truly up for that one. If we'd been able to maintain that level of intensity over the past 9 weeks. I don't think anyone could have touched us.

Excited by the finals. But we need to improve in attack and for mine Miller is a piece of the puzzle.

Excellent summation.

Congratulations to City for being recognised as the best team this year with the premiership plate. It was fair enough that there was a big celebration.
Hopefully we can now go on and win that strange trophy that they put on offer after the season finishes.

I mean it doesn't really matter, they were going to win it anyway. If anything I feel sorry for City fans because even they know that was a shit way to win.
But it does matter. It matters a lot.

We're still not guaranteed finals so every point matters. Their goal should've been chalked off for an obvious foul and we should've had a pen. We were the better team last night but got nothing.

Without VAR we loose 2-0 as Birraz doesn’t go up for that corner down 2.

We took a while to settle and after that they didn’t threaten to often which is a great achievement for the defense.

We are still toothless up front. Earlier in the season we were finding away and had lots of shots. Our first wasn’t till Stens horror hoof from distance. We need fix this because the defense is awesome.

I think Nigro would have stood tall like we wanted Miller to do but Miller was better going forward.

We really need a true winger for some variety.

good effort on to the next one.

Would be great to have an attacking wing player. Can anyone remember the last true wide attacking player we've had?

I'm a fan of 4231, and I think it would work for our squad skillset. The biggest opportunity and hope being for the point man to get some goals off three attacking mids (Dds, Urena and Nizz). Kuol, with his athleticism and pace, would have to be that man but it's too late to blood him now.
I guess Staj has seen the defensive benefits of our current shape, which I guess is 442?

Just had to listen to the commentary to know how victory would have approached that interview.
Or imagine if it was that bloke from the Wanderers.

A 4231 should become a 451 in D though.

What I did notice was, Staj obviously trawls this forum. When Clisby and Nigro/Miller got up high and wide Stens was dropping back into a 3rd CB position. Pity our D generally isn't the problem.

The issue is movement in the final 3rd exists because of lack of speed in the movement out of the first third allows team's to set.

The reason we were able to turn MC around after that first 15, was we started going route 1, it's not pretty but sometimes when you know they're controlling the middle because there pushing up, Route 1 is a viable option, mckinna used to do it, and it works sometimes

Technical....
Dds, Nizz, Stenz, Olli, Urena are all pretty good. I doubt Janota tops them.
Staj would see more (in training) than we do.
Janota does things the others can't do at training. He tops them all with the ball at his feet. Would I resign him for next season?.....the answer would be no sadly.
