Yes this true in an A League eara but about the golden generation and prior who went and stuck it out.
It comes down to many factors but skillis a big one especially as you say they are all skilled over there.
Time will tell and there’s a good chance your right but at least we will know
Al I said nothing about skill. Arguing with yourself there mate.
I'm saying game time is the biggest factor. if they buy his contract, he should at least stay next year. He can’t move till July anyway.

Sorry about that i was implying the others didn’t make it because of skill but as you say you didn’t say that.
I think game time is very important but I also think he can learn more OS.
Not trying to argue with you either just enjoying debting alternative views.
Either way it’s extremely exciting for the club to have him playing for us and creating excitement and he will hopefully attract other youth to come to us

These sort of things were ALWAYS going to happen with our success.
at very least nothing will happen until seasons end if at all. Ofcourse it’ll absolutely suck to lose any of our brilliant young lads. But that’s what our club is set up to do in reality. The transfer fee’s will hopefully be partly put back into future signings and you’d think the club will insert future sell on %’s into any deal. And there’s always the possibility of getting them back on loan like with Musti when he went to Dortmund. It aids their development

And then there’s also the many gems still in our academy ready to step up. Smylie, Tsekenis, Balard, Bayliss etc etc. ofcourse who’s to say they’ll be as good, but who’s to say they won’t be better?

I’m sure in the coming weeks we’ll get more rumours about players like Stens, DDS and Birra and maybe even kye. Part and parcel of our success. Just have to hope our players have decent people in their corner advising them. Not like DRD.

Imo Kuol’s speed and athleticism are not actually his top attribute. It’s his mentality - read spirit and confidence.

Seen many players with speed and athleticism and even great technical skills who still struggle and will never in a million years score seven off the bench in a handful of games.

To become elite you obviously have to have enough physical capacity, and then the support and coaching to develop, but in this day and age my own experience as a coach says that spirit and mindset are the two areas that general society does little to develop if not outright hinder in young athletes, and regardless, it’s very difficult to develop in someone unless they already have a sense of it.

So I’m not so sure he will be swallowed up OS. I think he will be behind when it comes to technical development but his instinct and mentality are pretty exceptional and his athleticism is at the higher end. So I won’t be surprised to see him bang in a shit load for Stuttgart reserves and move on from there. But he’s not going to end up playing for Barca either.

Arzani, completely different mindset and nature. And the injury was massive, because as a player he was all about his technical sharpness and skill on the ball. The SPL was a poor choice for a player like Arzani imo. Rogic too.

German football will be excellent for Kuol. Technical, disciplined, focused... great balance of physical and tactical... add that to his existing spirit and instinct... and away he goes.

This is the trajectory of our club with success.

Best case scenario is the one we currently have. We find and develop young talent, give them a shot in the A-League and sell them on to bigger things.

To keep this going we need to reinvest our profits into keeping and supporting our coaching staff. If we lose them we lose the system that is working and they should be rewarded and supported to make this a longer term and worthwhile gig.
Then we keep up investment in experienced players to mentor and polish our youth.

By continuing to develop and provide a pathway to the best youth in the country we will continue to attract the very best youth who will see us as their clearest pathway to success. Thus the conveyor belt continues and we have our best shot at success.

The drawback will be the disruption that occurs losing some of these guys and the loss of our favourite players as fans. Nizz and Kuol are perfect examples of players I want to watch in a CCM shirt for at least a couple more years, but probably won't be able to.

It is a shame to lose young and up and coming future stars but it is also exciting and fascinating watching them develop.
One thing that I do not want to see is any of these kids that are worthwhile going to another A-League Club unless we decide to cut them because we have better.
It does not seem to be affecting our competitiveness in the A-League and if the Academy can keep them coming through and Staj et al can provide the finishing touches and the window to Europe I will not be disappointed.
It is one of the reasons I will try to get to as many of the NPL games as possible this season to get and early preview of next year's stars.
It is a lot more interesting and satisfying than just spending money on 2nd rate imports.

This is similar to what his GV Suns manager said. Each time he is given a challenge he takes the next step. Wish him all the best if decides to go but I'd love to see him here for a couple more years. Opportunities don't always come when we want to see them - he just needs to make a calm and rational decision for what is right for him.

It just oozes from the kid and flows in to his actions. You can see why he’s become an instant cult figure to the younger kids.

All good mate, argue was probably the wrong word. I definitely agree he can learn more overseas, but hes at an age where top level game time is more important that training track time. All I'm advocating for is Alou to prove himself through the vigors of starting 25-30 games against the best players in the country. I dont feel German reserve grade or youth is the best place to do that.

All good as well. I don’t think that would hurt him but I’d probably be worried about A League defenses as well and they really aren’t good enough so maybe that extra year doesn’t help when he comes against Europe defense but he probably does need more experience as a starter.
Service is also important and we’ve seen over the last couple of weeks with no service he’s been ordinary but it was more on every one else. In Europe he’d get much better service but be against much better defenders.
Will be interesting to follow that is for sure.
Another year would be great for us to watch

Its super annoying because we've found our heir to Simon. Alou brings the same energy and hard noseness. Hes just a better allround player too
Odds are DDS will tromp overseas again so we cant afford to lose Niz as well given there's been a bit of interest.
The club really cant afford to allow the team to be gutted AGAIN.

Absolutely agree on that. He is someone casuals will come to see and be wowed. He certainly leads from the front and you feel he can make something happen at anytime.
DDS will go to Sydney IMO as they will pay top dollar especially after the year they have had but I hope he does try it again overseas but i am not sure he is consistent enough but he is having a fantastic season so now would be the time to go and he is definitely a mid and not a #10 or striker

Yep, I watch bundesliga regularly and the difference between their defence and HAL is night and day...even if Koulity gets sent to 4th division by Stuttgart, it’s gonna be a footballing culture shock

4 year deal as well so they are showing some faith in the young lad, good on him and look forward to watching how he goes. It’s good for the club as other young players must see us as a good opportunity to put yourself out there and the club will not stop you from moving on.
