ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Take Kamau out of the equation and we win comfortably.Missed too many chances in 2nd half and were punished for it. Credit to both teams for this game.
Cox was good with the ball for them as well but Kamau was the Adelaide version

Stens not up to standard of before the injury, way to many poor passes and reminded me of last season. He really needs to work on possession and passing. Gee we miss some sitters. Should never have been this close of a game.
It’s mental fatigue for Stens I think. Once his body tires (he is a big boy) his mind stops doing the basics and he dilly daliies and gets caught undecided instead of a simple early release

Got back from training and just watched the goals only. Our first goal was excellent, as good as Urena's pass was we were far more assisted by Ziggy dropping 5 metres behind the defensive line not marking anyone allowing Simon to slot home uncontested.

Enough chances to score 6 goals.
You gotta put 'em away.
Urena still getting better. Is he young/fit enough to go for 90mins? I would lie to see that.
It is really frustrating seeing Nizz and Kuol only for 30 mins each game.
I would be tempted to start Nizz on the wing and Bouman on the bench with Kuol and Urena up front.
Simon to replace Kuol when necessary.
I can understand Staj not changing what is working, but it is frustrating.
Janota is not a last 10 mins replacement. Hopefully he is getting fit and when needed will be able to start. I like to think with him and Urena out there there will be even more chances created, goals scored and we can coast home in games. Maybe wishful thinking but if he is to be of use (apart from coaching) that must be his role. The last 10 minute subs are either tear aways with pace if behind or solid close the game down types if in front. He is neither.
Our weaknesses are our fullbacks. Nigro is improving and less of a worry, but Clisby still dives in too much as a defender and sells too many dumps with poor passes.
I hate to criticise Birra but I wish he would control his box more. Too much hanging back when there are balls to be claimed. However compared to the rubbish we have had, he is a champion.
I think the best thing is that it is clear the team still has plenty of room for improvement. Individuals are getting better, so will the team.

Echoing sentiments - we dropped this game - and we got a gimme by the VAR right at the end; for once Beath being terrified of making actual big decisions worked in our favour.

We're 3 points ahead of MCY, they have 2 games in hand and a much better GD than us. Even AU, 5 points behind and 2 games in hand.

You'd expect them to win at least one of those games. Games like tonight and MV will hurt us at the end of the season once we're all on the same number of games. They have played 2 fewer games than us but have the same number of wins.

But, I still think it's a clear improvement from those couple of weeks of concern - but I still don't know why Staj is insistent that Nizzy and Kuol shouldn't start.

I wasn't convinced by the Janota sub either.

We allowed WSW to have too much counter - we just opened right up; start of the season we shut down these counters by taking away space.

For me he should have moved on DDS and Bouman a bit earlier, was clear they had slowed down and we needed the momentum.
We started off the fittest side but it's interesting to see that hasn't stayed true; though it mattered a lot at the start. Bouman wasn't quite as sharp as he has been.

I noticed one time he jus had one defender to beat for an open goal, but turned back into the defender to play for the corner. That's a no-confidence play right there.
