Mariners vs Perth Glory - MW12 - the 'didn't we just play you ?' round

Yep how Ams couldn’t see a more simpler penalty than the one he eventually awarded shows his clear bias against us. There were plenty of corners and throw ins that didn’t go our way as well and Ota taking out Kuol just like Clisby in the first half sums it all up. He was just cautious not to be too bias as everyone was watching closely. Was still an underlying bias for sure.

Nisbet my MOTM he stepped up this game compared to the last few in my opinion. The draw hurts Glory more than us so I’m content. Loving Urena at the moment and was worried when he lost it with being subbed. Hope he gets over that pretty quick.

You do have to wonder why the game went ahead, Fox probably influenced it as it didn’t seem like the sensible players safety first decision.

It was just a bit of rain and a slightly water-logged pitched. Absolutely NO reason not to play. We are very soft in Australia these days.

We were pretty good tonight and played some sweet Football at times.

Nizzy was my MOM but I thought Urena, Simon and DDS were excellent. The back four were very good overall.

Birraz and Olli were not as good as normal, but their normal this season has been superb.

We really should have won this but I wasn't unhappy with the draw.

We definitely had chances to win the game comfortably but Perth also had a couple chances to bury us.
Given the weather a point is pretty fair. I personally don’t care about the performance in those conditions, it’s just a grind. We got through it.
This.

I was also surprised the game went ahead, the waterlogged pitch had a notable effect with the ball slowing in puddles up near the Northern Concourse goal mouth. It was clearly not going to improve between when they delayed it and when they decided to go ahead, so either shit or get off the pot.

At the end though, the overall game was better viewing than most would have expected and at least picked up a point in the conditions against a good team who CCM have now taken 4/6 points from.

DDS in the first half was close to another new level for me
Went missing for about 10-15 in the 2nd but agree, he was brilliant yet again
Is his contract up this season or next?

I didn’t mind the Urena sub. We needed the energy to be able to put pressure on the ball to win some possession and get a bit of control back in the midfield and I don’t think Marcos could do much more to help there,

D’Asgostino really upped the tempo and changed the game. They moved it much quicker and started using their width. It was a great double sub by Perth. And they took over for the next 30 minutes.

Tb to Staj, in a game where you’ve just dominated at HT you’re going to say more more of the same please boys and it’s really up to the other tram to try and change things. And I don’t think Staj saw Garcia’s tactics coming. Pushing Castro wider - and letting D’Agostino run the show and literally tear through the middle.

Stens helped us get control back and thank f**k for Nizzy. Broke up so much play and was excellent in attack too. He gets my 3 points today.

next week Stens starts and Nizzy goes wide for Bouman imo
He'll probably put in his match report.
"while I was viewing the VAR screen some lunatic with an ice cream was yelling at me from the stands"
Can’t lie. That would be pretty f**king accurate. ? I was so pissed. Absolute clown that he couldn’t see right away he’d missed a clear pen. And it’s an obvious yellow. Guys an embarrassment to the league. Him and Mauk should form a company together,

We won them for Western United game. What a place to be when Kuol scored the winner. Hopefully you’ll get that same view today
Enjoy ⚽️????
What was the food like?
Would you want to ref us if you were him
Very wet match for a game that was likely to be pretty intense, with the league's most incompetent referee, and the league's most incompetent VAR who likes to get involved when he shouldn't and not get involved when he should.

Going to be a stressful 90 minutes
Just another prick of a refereeing performance from that arsehole Ams. Lower than a snakes penis, Clayton's referee( you know the referee you are having when you are not having a referee). At every wrong decision, not missed by all of us and evident by the overwhelming reaction by our fans, he copped it from me and there was no way he would not have heard me because I was so close I could see his bloodshot, beady little eyes on many occasions. Btw loved the seats, having the opportunity to be right in the action was well worth it. Even though it was like preparing to be loaded onto Noahs Ark for forty days and forty nights. A particular memorable moment was when Danny slid into our enclosed area nearly into my mates lap, never been so close to the little master. The boys, even though the conditions were abysmal against those divers, head_ butters and prima donnas Perth (Glory to be given where it is deserved but not to that motley crue) were a credit to the game.

I rate D’Agostino and don't understand how he is not starting in front of Keogh. Birighitti won't be happy conceding there but it was slightly deflected and there was more than a hint of offside. That not overturning close offsides edict because of the conditions probably cost us 2 points.
i was saying the same with am and wombat .i believe him not starting with castro is madness.
am said urena is a real 10 ,play two strikers in front of him
food for thought

I'd agree with you if the pitch had been re-laid straight after our last game. I was more concerned about the lack of knitting in the pitch. Happy with the draw - more thankful that no serious injuries for either side.

Glorious.
Scary thing is, i think this was one of his best performances we've seen.
And he was still this bad

We have lost control of the midfield in the second half in the last 4 games now. When we were bringing on Koul earlier in the season we were building up brilliantly and he was on the end of the build up. We seem to have lost that are are trying to bang it long and hope you can produce some magic.
I think Staj got the subs wrong in this match. Way to late and went for tired forwards which is probably fair but that game was played in the trenches and the pitch was so heavy I think fresh legs were needed in the middle. Interesting Staj didn’t want to use anymore subs. Didn’t trust them or thought the guys on the pitch could do it.
Stens Koul were the only two i can remember till the death.
i think that’s an error in those conditions but we managed to get one back which is great fighting again

I think that will be remedied when stens starts again, move niz to the bench and him and janota will provide fresh impotas in the second half.
