Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners vs Perth Glory - MW12 - the 'didn't we just play you ?' round

Figured I may as well start it. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous given how under the pump we were in the 2nd half the last time we played them, though we SHOULD be able to take care of them without a problem - and I think we will win, but this will be really interesting. Going to be a big test of strategy coming into this one, I think - but Staj has proven to be highly astute in that regard, so I think we have all the advantages.
Stens will absolutely be missed, I think. Be good if we can get into a position to give players like Hatch another run.
Anybody know pax?

I’m going to be keeping a particular eye on ollies movements when we have the ball. That’ll tell me if we intend on keeping a lot more possession and playing on our terms. When Ollie drops into the “half back” type roll between the CB’s that’s the sign. He didn’t do that once against the bulls.
It was a pure counter attack plan against the bulls which was perfect with the amount of useless possession they always have.
perth are more direct and have huge threats and are abit wounded at the minute after our last meeting and the nix loss. I trust Staj will have a solid plan yet again.
NPL boys play on the same day so could see jankovic on the bench for some minutes.

It's already been said a few times this season but this is a critical game. The last time we played Perth I wonder if they underestimated us a little by leaving Castro out of the starting team? I know they'd only had a three day turnaround but I still thought it odd - and he was different class when he came on with 30 to play. We were just hanging on. No doubt Staj will have a plan for all contingencies but how do we counter Castro from the start? I'd send Nizzy out to frustrate the fcuk out of him. Has Castro ever been red carded?

Not sure if it's been covered, Ams Is reffing:doh:
Please tell me you are feckin joking about this Huddo, just how inappropriate is it for FA to allocate him to one of our games after;

a) the club had previously questioned his ability and
b) the absolute masterclass of clusterf*ckwittery he served up for our boys in the Louganis game?

That shows a complete lack of integrity and sensitivity by the governing body imho but then again that’s nothing new really is it?

Is Fielding the 4th official perchance, just to rub salt into the open wound?

BrisRecky

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
Kurt f**kING Ames ...they are taking the piss ...right?....bring your loudest booing voices people .....how can this clueless and or corrupt arsehat even be considered to ref one of our games after that Adelaide debacle

I hope we give it to Perth tomorrow, even with the rough refereeing decision (seriously? Does the league see this as a chance for Ams to redeem himself or something?). The Bulls coach out saying Melb City are the form team of the comp at the moment, ffs. Um, just because your overrated squad couldn’t find the net against them and conceded 3 doesn’t mean they are so great. Is he aware of who is on top of the comp and that we recently gave it to both Melb City and the Bulls!!!! Winning this year is becoming more important by the day if for no other reason than to shut some of these people up!! Apologies for the frustrations...
