ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The fabric of football is celebrating goals which are generally hard to achieve.
VAR has ripped the soul out of goal celebrations as it’s now yeah we scored or did we. Lets look at a linesman waiting till after the play and then the VAR and then we will let you know

I thought the 2nd was more of an obvious dive than the first, to be honest - though on the first I thought our guy got a touch on the ball.

Absurd that the MRP doesn't suspend a player who publicly admitted to diving.
Much harder to tell at pace so you can see why it may be initially called but even the to most experienced eyes, still looks incredibly soft. And most referees see both players holding the other, and will never award a pen.

But when slowed, what becomes clear is that Nisbet stops pulling and does not pull Mauk down, rather Mauk deliberately and quite obviously just lets his legs stop working and falls into Nisbet. It's another dive by Mauk and should have been his second yellow.

I never want to watch any part of that game again.
I can't even bring myself to look at the ladder. Can't stand the idea of looking at it knowing AU have those three points. Vindicating yes, yet somehow even worse having had the official referees body come out and say yeah, Adelaide actually should have lost.

I'd like to see someone knock up a table that reflects the true actual scores for the rest of the season.

and how is someone who is only 5 foot ever going to be able to haul down Mauk? surely the ref would have considered that !

How often is the Friday night match still the main topic of conversation here the following Tuesday?

I'm still seething, although slightly mollified by the Rowles red rescission.

All I can say is this - next time Adelaide visit the Coast, bring your friends.

Bring your family.

Bring the bloody cat!

Bring everyone from down the pub...the shops...

People you rarely talk to...people you dislike...jeez, even bring your ex-wife or husband!!!

Bring everyone.

Let Adelaide know...

He is as strong as an ox - you'd want him next to you in the trenches
yes I know....was just trying to be funny (always embarrassing when you have to explain that) :p I really am amazed and awed at his physicality considering he's someone not much taller than my wife (that isn't a joke by the way)......but for me Nizzy is always someone I'd pick if I was picking the side.

So you'd rather we went the way of the nrl or nfl and have multiple ref's just so you can hear a conversation about the rules...........rodgie
Don`t we already have have that with the 4th official and the VAR?
And for sure I want to hear the conversation between the referee and the VAR,but not just to hear a conversation about the rules.
I wan`t to hear their conversation about the an incident and how they interpret the rules to the said incident.
I also want to be sure that both are open and honest.
As it stands after the weekend I have lost my trust in referees and their honesty.
With the advent of sports betting, I think the general public would like some transparency in how the rules are interpreted.
No RODGIE...

South Gosford FC just lost to Heartless FC ... meaning if we were on 21 points no one even on catch up games could catch us aside from Pert would would finish on equal points assuming they won everything...

Yonks and yonks and yonks ago... my grand mother used to tell a story we could and by that I mean someone that knows how to do this stuff.

AnyWho my Nan lived in Carramar.... the local teams of all codes and this was pre WWII hhhmmmm maybe just after WWI played at Carrawood Park ...

If they looked like losing a chant went up I guess to some song of the day ...

Ref you're going in the drink
When the game ends
Ref you're going in the drink
When the game ends

You see Carrawood Park ran/ runs along side Prospect Creek... now Prospect Creek is more the size of a small river rather than a creek and at this point was/ is quite deep... in fact roughly a K away at the time was a favorite holiday spot by the creek for Sydney folk.

Just maybe with Brisbane Water across the road we should have a welcome song for them if they come about a ship anchor and the cool and welcoming Brisbane Waters...

Just watched the lowlights again before the 2 penalty the ball goes out for a throw. It comes off Adelaide but they get the throw. Why didn’t var check it as it directly affected the penalty?
Because a restart has occurred -it can't be changed after the restart. This is a standard that has always held true, since before VAR.

Everyone's favourite - Kurt Ams changing his decision after reviewing thanks to a recommendation by another favourite Kris Giffiths-Jones.
