Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Continuing the theme of Tasmanian takeover, Reef Murfet has signed an NPL contract for 2021. Reef has been playing for Riverside Olympic the past 2 seasons in NPLTAS and Northern Champ (NPL2 equiv here in Tas). Made his debut at 15 last year in NPLTAS, but I admit I haven't seen a huge amount of him, as the keeper in front of him at Riverside is the other best under 20s keeper in the state (and played against Mariners last year), so he's mainly played in Launceston. I would expect him to play NPL2 U/20s next season, given his age, with hopes of NPL2. Riverside is the same club Nathaniel Atkinson came from prior to Melb City too.

Glad to see he has been given a chance to impress. Great attitude. Came a long way to trial only to fracture his hand within 10min of the trial. Asked the physio to strap it and got on with it for the rest of the session.

Wtf. They wanted out of the game and the points? GTFO.

I think they wanted us to agree to a 0.0 draw. To share the points. I'm nice but my team told them to do one. They were a better side than us that year but in the make up game we played flat back 4 with me defending them like Monty screening them and I played like Vinny Jones. The score 0.0.

I should have taken the brown envelope lol.

Northbridge FC, formerly North Shore Mariners, has struck up a partnership with Macarthur.
What's behind this, they apparently will play as Northbridge FC Bulls?

This looks to be aimed at 2022 when the NPL will expand to 16 with SYD FC, WSW, CCMA and Bulls taking 4 of the spots. Is this Northbridge's way to ensure they don't get relegated? Will the A-League NPL teams be eligible for relegation?

GARANG KUOL SIGNS FOR CENTRAL COAST MARINERS

The club are delighted to announce that after a successful 2 week trial at Central Coast Mariners, GV Suns young gun Garang Kuol will be relocating and signing for the current A league leaders where he will join brother Alou.

Garang will link up with Nick Montgomery and the successful Mariners Academy after developing through the Suns junior NPL system. Kuol has also been training with the Suns senior team for the past two seasons.

Senior coach Craig Carley was delighted on hearing the news: “This is fantastic and just rewards the hard work that Garang has been putting in to his football. Credit goes out to Technical Director Billy Marshall, the coaching team and previous junior coaches who have nurtured Garang along his football journey. He has been training with the senior squad for two seasons now and has really stood out and impressed this pre season with some brilliant displays. In my opinion he is ready for senior NPL football.
We are starting to get a reputation as a club who develops junior talent which builds in with my philosophy and for a club that is only 8 years old I am very proud of the direction we are heading.”

From all at GV Suns we wish Gerang the very best and look forward to seeing him playing alongside his brother Alou in the A-League soon.

What does GV stand for? Gonna be a great for young Kuol to have some Fam with him.
Goulburn Valley Suns are a semi-professional association football club based in Shepparton, Victoria. The club was established in 2013 and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2.

There are another couple of brothers. I believe Teng is slightly older than Garang who is 4 years younger than Alou. Both Teng and Garang had scored for their U20 side in 2019. Garang scored a double at the age of 14 for the U20 side.

Probably wrong thread, but DWHs interview revolves around his time in the NYL (and NPL), that's why I put it here.

Blacktown City 2-0 CCM

This was a trial - not sure if it was a CCMA fixture or unused first team players. I expect Pearce, Hatch, Hall, Miller, Ballard & Jankovic all got some time.

Obviously the trial meant there was a level of experimentation in the team and management is still trying to cover those lost. I just wonder how much experimention occurred.
