Looking forward to heading down to the Gong for this one and planning to stay overnight with Mrs OH for Valentine’s Day (I know how to treat a lady eh? ;)

Looking for the boys to extract revenge for the undeserved loss to the Nix Sunday before last and also reviving the “We’ve got beaches, you’ve got beaches” chant in the stands.

I heard Sotirio is out for a month or two injured and Devlin limped off the field during the Smurfs game. Devlin is a pretty big loss if he is out and will make their defence more fragile. We just need to hit the back of the net, I feel this is the perfect game for Urena to bury one of his shots this Sunday. They are dangerous in attack and Piscopo returning adds to this however they have been very wasteful with so many shots in that Smurf game going over the bar. Long may it continue and shut down Ulises and we are a good chance.

I'm with the pod boys and nervous about this one as they are a bit like Roar and a boggy side for us the last 3 or so years.

Big test.... away from home and on the road...

The next three weeks sooooooooooooooooooooo important in reconnecting with the local community.... years of miss management and poor judgement by MC... coupled with and starting with Moss years of poor to mediocre player recruitment.... has left other than die hard's and the hard core rusted on's disillusioned ...

If we can pick up a couple of wins over the next three games I can see a huge turn around pertaining to the locals...

Staj, given his sacking and last chance saloon start with us, with a back to the wall club, kinda mixes well with the Coast and he has developed that US V The Rest in a similar way to Lawrie Mac ..

Love to win this game.... hoping to get on the bus but could have something on with the Minster of War & Finance in Sydney.... we are still trying to get out of it...

Big ups to the club for going around and ringing up members to ask about hopping on the party bus. I have already got a lift sorted and gonna have the full road trip experience but appreciate the call nonetheless.

I think it's gonna be a great atmosphere because the away bay is under a roof and the sound is gonna be amplified. Looking forward to losing my voice, drinking beers and taking 3 points home. Vamos.

Devlin out would be a big loss for them.

Shut Davilla out and you win the game. He is one of the best midfielders in the league.

He carved us first half last game but we adjusted second half and shut him out.

I think this post arrived late in the mail Middy. For mine that turn around has already happened, can grow for sure still. But the community vibe is very good from what I can tell.

Yeah absolutely this. Has looked the most dangerous in the league

We can’t treat Davila like a regular midfielder. The special attention olly in particular gave to Ninkovic in the Sydney win has to be applied to Davila’s also. He can turn a game with an individual moment of brilliance.

This Welly side is for my money probably the softest kiwi side I’ve seen in years. Just got to get an early goal, boss Davilla and keep our foot on their necks for the rest of the game and we’ll take the win we deserved last game.

They looked bereft of ideas against Sydney and lacked any real penetration. Without Devlin they struggle to control the midfield, they have an outlet in McGarry who is very good going forward but poor defensively, if we can limit Davilla's possession we shouldn't have too many problems with McGarry.

Need to sort the defence out which was solid early but copping 2 goals a game is going to end in tears. We had those banks fo 4 that was working an absolute treat but with the growing confidence this has been a less consistent focus.

Otherwise theres no reason we cant get revenge

Agree on the defensive issue, but I don’t think it’s the two banks though, we’ve still consistently had good shape and been hard to play through.

Firstly I think fatigue has played a significant part. We get back so well now but we’ve struggled more and more after all these brutal turn arounds. It also may well be why we keep falling asleep on free kicks.

But fatigue aside. for the most part our weak spot is the left side of Clisby and Kye. Clisby gets consistently targeted. I’d bet good money he gets run at more than any other fullback in the league. He’s missing less tackles now, but he’s still going to miss his share I fear, so then it becomes all about Kye’s decision making and cover. The Berisha goals is a perfect illustration.

Focus was on Tongyik when he gets brilliantly turned by Berisha, but really that could/should have been stopped and never have gotten to Berisha. Maybe a less exhausted Clisby doesn’t get trashed by Imai in the first place, but even once he does Kye had plenty of time to close him down and help but he hesitated, then by the time he does, he never gets to Imai who has enough time to cross and he’s taken himself out of position and he can’t get back quick enough to help close down Berisha. A poor decision completely took himself out as a defender in two plays.

So the way I see it, given Clisby’s not going to turn into Wan Bisaka any time soon, it’s got to be all about how we cover when he’s being targeted. f there’s isn’t a DM back to support him, I feel like the backline needs to slide left so Kye knows he can go ball, and you tell your midfield whoever is closest guns to support wide right and cut out any back post runs.

Not sure how else to firm it up, ruon has been impeccable with his judgement and cover but swapping Ruon and Rowles is too risky.

Yeah one hundred percent. It was mostly individual work from Davila. they reminded me of us last year, everyone passing the ball without any threat at all until Duric gets it and takes a shot.

Don`t worry to much Tevor, every side has been a bogey side for us in the last 5 years...

OK, I'll take a seat if there's one available please.
I haven't got a ticket yet, but if there's a seat I'll sort a ticket.

Is it time to give Hall a go as the CB ... to replace Rowles even if for only 20 minutes to see how he goes...
