ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I am a bit ambivalent about Maty's loan move to Arsenal. If he is no 2 he will hopefully get game time in FA Cup/Europa Cup matches. This is an improvement on the situation at Brighton.

However it is a loan move and if,as likely, Brighton gets relegated and the c..t Potter gets sacked Brighton might want Maty back for the Championship. It is still a good standard league but would it be a good career move.Hopefully Arsenal like him and sign him at the end of the season.
I reckon he would be perfect for Leeds Utd. Our 1st keeper is 9yo and our reserve (ex Real Madrid, believe it or not) is shite. Maty would be a great signing and a possibilty of unseating our young French keeper.

I was hoping Sheff Utd would be looking at him last Summer, instead of buying Ramsdale. Definitely won't be getting him in the Championship next season

Great idea, Matty should march on together

If the next Socceroos squad (March) is A-League only, I'd suggest the following Mariners have to be in the mix:

Birra; Rowles; Tongyik; Bozanic; De Silva

If you're top of the league, you ought to be dominating the rep teams, but I'd be amazed if they all got picked. Birra would have to be a shoe-in but the other four would have to be part of Arnie's conversations.

Birra yes.

Rowles Ollyroos. I doubt they'll look at him for Roos yet.

Tongyik, Impressive as he has been, reckon will need to continue with his form for a while yet.

De Silva if he continues form in next 3 games is a chance I think. (quite a turn around)

Bozanic. I reckon he can do a job for sure, but I'd still be very surprised.

NIzzy surely going to get an ollyroo call up though you'd think.
I think he's out performing every mid in the current squad.

If Alou snags a couple more, he might be a bolter for the Ollyroos also.

ONiell being injured could well open the door. DDS played too far forward with the Olyroos, use him like we are now and he would be a good shout. I’d put them both in front of at least 3-4 on that list, others up for debate and maybe a question of where you’d play them/system you’re using.

Sucks for Maty but a long way to go

1-0 Villa
Villa take the lead after just one minute. Started with a poor pass from Cedric and ended with Watkins' deflected effort going past Ryan.

As much as I'll always truly love Tommy, I don't think he ever had the tools to go to another level. He's always been amazing in patches, and he had one blinder of a season, but he's too hot and cold. Whatever forces came together for that year he had a blinder with Celtic, he hasn't recaptured them. Don't think he'd have what it takes to do that consistently in one of the bigger leagues.
