Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

DDS is a better version of Hoole. He wants to dribble and take the man on every time. EVERY f**kING TIME. Niz is his replacement.

Niz is a DM. Likes to keep it tight and play short sharp passes BUT I reckon he has the skills to be converted just need to train him to drive forward with the ball. Could be a masterstroke because he is an intelligent footballer.

Nah,
Looking for a scapegoat TB?
Poor challenge for sure but we should have defended from there.
Our finishing was woeful again.....thats the cancer.
i saw ss run straight at us for the ball .he chickened out .
it was the pivotal moment .it had the effect of a drop in intensity and the roar fluked one , again .
ss wins the ball .we win the game

no scapegoating just blame where its due

Yeah I thought play Kim as the 6 (the holder/screener) and Nizzy and Duric as twin 8's (box to box). Both seem to have the engine to pull it off. I was actually very surprised how well nizzy ran the game out in those conditions.

Fair call. He was very poor when he came on as was Simon. He was walking rather than jogging just prior meaning he wasn't switched on and he gave the ball away cheaply (same as Stens, Oar, GG etc do most games) just prior. The difference when GG and Stens give the ball away they try and redeem.
Especially annoying as I wanted him to replace Muzz upfront with 20 to go.
We would have drawn the game not won it btw but the point would have been very handy.

Our LA based reporter said he was likely back Wednesday. I think it's form more than jet lag.
I really dunno what happened. He was friggin electric in pre season and that first game. It's just disappeared completely.
I wish I was based in LA, I'm actually based in Australia... Just a huge LAFC fan and know a lot of the LAFC front office personally from going over a fair bit for games, including LAFC first ever MLS game.

You are a bit tougher than me on your calls, but it is probably fair.
A couple of points.
Their goal was a deflection. Bizza not to blame.
SS did not chicken out going for that ball. He chickened out when it came through. It was clearly his ball if he had gone for from the start but hung back. I could even have got there. No Ticker.
Check out the replay you only see a lot of the game in one dimension from behind the goals.

I can’t stand that from subs. You’re on for 20ish minutes not 90 you shouldn’t need to conserve energy. Happens way too often across the league especially with fringe players. Seriously you’re trying to justify more minutes and you’re cruising rather than busting your arse for every 50-50. I don’t get it.

SS to me played like his agent has said ... your transfer is in the bag... but whatever you do don't get hurt or injured ...

To be fair all he had to do was run hard at that ball and kick it into the stands maybe but just get there first ...

Was beyond pleased with Nizzy, he spilt the defense a number of times and set many things up he ran the show largely with Kim alongside him to be his shot gun they could be a great combination....

What impressed me most about Nizzy's games was he was constantly organising all those around him...

Good game. Played with more consistency. One of those could have/should have won games. A draw would probably have been a fair result.

Need to be better on the final ball or two in attack - we'd have had a few if we were. It's on us that we didn't win this one.

We have a low grade and low quality team that needs to work on the basics!
Build confidence from doing the basics well.
Keep it simple with a 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 and simply focus on dominating your area and your opposing player.
Yep, this

Most young players stepping up are inconsistent I find

This is the pivital moment. everybody drops their shoulders with his lack of commitment from ss .

Mentally he looked a million miles from where he needed to be tonight and imo it cost us the game. Is Staj at fault? maybe or maybe too much bullshit with his manager, girlfriend, Lala land star dust in his eyes, the travel.., who knows...

But he gave away the ball away twice in short succession, which led to two waves of attack, the first of which Ziggy headed clear then I honestly don’t know what Sammy was doing on that ball 10 seconds later that led to the goal. He had plenty of time but didn’t accelerate, I thought he was luring the defender in for the foul, then he just either completely pussed out or got his timing horribly horribly wrong.

Otherwise same old same old, we need a quality striker etc terrible to lose a game like that, let alone not even get a point.

Can we at least grease the inside of the goal posts. f**k me.

Kim has been one of our best. Mistake to leave him out.

As to all the active stuff, Jesus Christ, it’s not the f**king Gaza Strip guys, there’s no murdered children to forget, f**k the past, leave each other alone, and just sing shit about the opposition together. Honestly if you can’t come together and find common ground to harass the drive bys and sling shit at the scum, you might as well all just pack it up anyway,
