    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Done! I assume Telstra means Foxtel on Telstra?
FYI you can start a poll in a new thread.

TBF ! We do have a Telstra television BUT the kayo app is on there and I use that instead of foxtel now cause I can watch repeats of HAL (and germany, Spain,MLS and the championship) whenever I want

Yeah Kayo is a great example of a traditional cable company (Foxtel) doing streaming right.

No idea, but I listen to 96.3 Coast FM pre game.
I watch via a mate's Foxtel Go. OK, but there's no replays of the game except on the Fox schedule.

Foxtel.
I had kayo for one preseason game on free 14day trail. Which i cancelled after the game. The stream was decent enough.
I have Foxtel IQ which is still the best presentation of Football in this country ATM.
Fox is good for Leeds games but i also have Optus sub that i have never watched, given to me as a gift. I gave my password to a mate who is a Scum fan (Manyoo) and he loves it.

I’m very happy with Kayo. I can get on there without seeing results given away. My streams never cut out - which I really struggled with free sites like firstrow. And I cancelled Foxtel play after it was abysmal. I Love mini games. And I find the site super easy and enjoyable to navigate.

I have Foxtel downstairs in our house but Kayo for travel has just been perfect too.

foxtel go works well for that too. I record our games as watching on the big screen usually means waiting for the kids to go to bed and am usually successful at avoiding forums and social media for results. But for other games I tend to end up using my phone for at least part of the match.

After a survey I read about the Roar that had Fox subscription as 47% and Fox Go, Kayo & Telstra as 53% I set up some polls on the Mariners, MV & WSW forums.

Am still waiting SFC, & Jerks forum approvals to join their forums so I can do the polls

But to date and not counting Optus or the ABC just subscriptions as we are bombarded with Fox rating decline...

So over MV, Mariners & WSW and 85 votes this is the result

Fox main sub = 35%

Fox Kayo ==== 37%

Fox Go ===== 16 %

Tetstra ===== 12 %

Its interesting and even if the numbers are small the Roar figure was over 300 people I believe, it illustrates the panic about ratings being half what they were, fails to look at the changing viewing patterns.

Not sure TBH what it all means but simply not accepting Fox / News propaganda and agenda setting articles..

Very much in line with these stats is a study completed by the A-League copied below.. 100K average with some games 150k

.A-League clubs will launch a $1,000,000 social media campaign that will use a mix of bespoke content, highlights, memes and fan-driven material, seeking to engage younger sections of the near 2 million Australians who play the game but don't go to or watch HAL games.
It comes on the back of research conducted for club owners which they believe show there is a latent market of consumers interested in the A-League but not currently going to games – and which may show declining TV ratings are to a significant degree attributable to viewers migrating to streaming games via the internet.

TV ratings have fallen more significantly or at least those watching on Fox Sports which shows all games every round – down some 24 per cent to around 39,000 a game. The switch from Ten Bold to ABC1 as the free to air broadcaster of one game per round, at 5pm on Saturdays, has delivered a 50 per cent increase on the last few rounds of last season, though from a small base up to an average of around 53,000.

A body of research undertaken for the A-League owners by a global data analytical company has shown a reach for games via Kayo and the Telstra MyFootball app of more than 100,000 for each of last weekend’s four games – in some cases getting closer to 150,000.

In a wider context, the research is said to show around 750,000 people engaged with the four A-League games via various mediums, including TV, radio and news papers, streaming and social media. Around 500,000 engaged with the W-League games on the same weekend.
