It's just frustrating to shoot ourselves in the foot once again. why the hell are his hands anywhere near that. Other than that lapse we played well tongyk and Kim stabilised the game and put is both on the right path again.

Kim needs to start along side stensness and hopefully fox isn't out. We desperately need a new striker along side Murray

I understand Waspish.
Apologies to any to of the regulars & pinklady.
I should have played the ball & not the man/woman. I’ll take my yellow on the chin & put my hand up & say sorry, definitely didn’t mean to offend or upset anyone.
My husband told me not to join this forum because I have trouble controlling my emotions & passion.
I will go back to reading the comments from a distance & not posting. Sorry again folks.

Don’t leave Kit.

Most everyone on here is more than capable of dusting themselves off and forgiving of an online scrap. And being called drunk or stupid by wombat is just a rite of passage on here really,

As you say, as long as you play the ball, tolerate other opinions.
Wow! Finally!

Simon may end up coming good but I'm just thrilled to see that Staj is prepared to bench him even as captain. Strong coach!

Yeah I really didn’t think he would.

Murray and fox were forced subs to prevent further injury.
Murray - hamstring
Otherwise Silvera would have come on I would say.

Kim has way more of an effect than one would think.
His substitution gave the Mariners some composure and confidence to hold the ball and instantly raised completed passes and possession to redirect the game.

Almost connected with the frontline on 2 amazing penetrating passes!
Passes with intent and direction behind the backline we have not seen in a long time.

And the save by Birra that stopped the snakes somewhat decent volley was a god send. Thank Christ for that.

They had 2 very obvious tactics that hopefully we learn from for next game.

But everyone can agree, end to end excitement and lots of heart attack moments.

We're not bottom. I'm dizzy!

Fair result on balance. Scum dominated, but we had the better chances. Woeful turnovers. Should have buried them just after halftime. Again, just a decent 'sniffer' centre-forward away from a good result.

Thought the subs were the right ones. We looked a lot more composed after the double subs. Would like to have seen Silvera, but would probably have been kicked off the park by the physical Scummers.

Milan - Wow!

Murray had a tight hammy, you could argue that was a perfect time to throw Sammy on.
Staj is managing GG decently after his injury that’s why he only played 55 odd. You’d really only put Kim on in that moment, like for like.
Sammy was about to come on when Fox tweaked his groin so Staj took no chances with that. Unfortunate for Sammy. You could be pedantic and argue stens could’ve dropped to CB but it was a chance to get minutes into Ruon who did play well and helped stabilised us.

Why does Matt Sit on the back post all the time. With De Silva getting through he needed a striker cutting across the box to hit. Unfortunately Mat was on his heals.

Then GG had a real Mariners brain fart and shot ourselves in the foot.

We lost control of the game straight after and were lucky to hold on but then we did manage to wrestle it back which was a great improvement from previous years.
When Murray gods wide to pick up a long ball no one is moving into the striker position

Don’t see us scoring much apart from Duric bombs. He’s awesome striker of the ball.

Well done Birra. I didn’t rate him but he’s been excellent tonight and pretty good alround except for the soft 1st WSW goal last week. I acknowledge i was wrong on this pick up. The Millar save was a beauty

Oh man I know. Was screaming this at the time - you don’t always make the same run and expect from that angle that they can get it up and over to the back post.

Have to get in between or make a run in front of your man angling to the near post as well. On another chance Matty didn’t even make the run - he played it wide, then just jogged and watched as it was driven perfectly across the face only 4 metres in front of where he now was and where he easily could have been.

This midfield, defence and our coach are quality, just need that striker. Final piece of the puzzle.

Birra MOM though Duric on any other day with that performance surely takes it.

Ziggy making me eat my words, combined well in attack tonight.

Biggest issue was when Merrick
adjusted and brought an extra man into the mids in the second half and they got on top of us for spell, other than that it was mostly just the long ball bombardment.

They weren’t rubbish though, however we were better and they’re lucky to leave with a point.

Superb defensive effort and another quality team performance too. Subs were well timed also.

Good match.

First time i've been impressed with Murray. He was excellent tonight.

We were the better side. Shafted by the VAR yet again.

On a side note the Police really have to lift there game. There was a very ugly fracas under the car park that resulted in a women being taken away in an Ambulance. The Police took ages to get there. It is so obvious that if there is going to be trouble it will be between the Ground and the station......maybe it might be an idea to have a couple of police in the vicinity.

Just watched the highlights as much as it hurts the var got the decision correct. Handball yes it was but how bloody pedantic is the var Yes Birra did come off his line but you see it all the time if we are going to be like that every throwing should be taken in the correct spot every free kick in the correct spot.

Loved Duric's work, he is starting to combine well with DDS, and he really wanted that second goal. He is too valuable going forward to ever play DM again.
Rowles improves every year.
Kim made a massive difference when he came on. His organisation allowed us to start attacking again.
Unfortunately Matty is getting past it. We had too many breaks with no striker in the box. And when he was in the box he always went far post for the cross and left Topor between him and the crosser. "Simples" said Topor. Murray looked much more useful.
Matt needs to watch some old tapes of Kwassy, I used to love his runs to the near post looking for the cross.

I still think it will be a long road but we are getting better.

If the VAR is going to be that pedantic, they really should have replayed the 2nd penalty attempt. It looked like Jets players encroached into the area before the ball was struck.

This is where it's a very slippery slope, if you start using VAR to pick up any infringement of the rules as they are written... You MUST apply it to everything else.
