ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Wow! Finally!

Simon may end up coming good but I'm just thrilled to see that Staj is prepared to bench him even as captain. Strong coach!

Glad matty is on the bench, it’s the standard that needs to be set at minimum.

Same line up as last week. I’m confident. The lads shouldn’t let shit luck affect the outcome this week. Because we all know that was the difference last week.

I wonder if Simon will be back to captain if he starts, and Oar stays captain when he doesn't.....who knows.
Staj seems to have a lot of belief in Simon's leadership capability - and maybe he does do a lot as a leader at training and off the field, but glad to see Oar as captain on the field. Much better suited to the job.
Strong lineup.

I’d say they obviously have a leadership group of maybe 3-4 and tommy must be vice captain
He’s 100% got a captains personality specifically his composure

Carbon copy of Mat Simon's yellow card that NTS judt did on Duric.

Commentators don't even discuss it, thanks cnuts

Not a fou for the penalty appeal. Arm wasn't making his body bigger - elbow was next to his body.
Sexy attack in the leadup

Yep. And no doubt that if Simon did it in the 12th minute, he'd have copped a card.

I’d be so nervous and angry if we didn’t have Milan’s goal (one of the best we’ll see in gossie btw)
But we do look quite solid defensively and the structure is excellent despite being under the pump since the goal.
We just can’t keep the ball. We need Kim on at the sacrifice of gg or stens. They’re both sitting way too deep. But their defensive work has been good.

Is it just me or does DDS look like he's lost a bit?

I think he’s just covering Millar a lot.
Defensive structure seems to have been the main focus all week. Not a bad thing especially with the early goal but we HAVE to keep it and build some more attacks.
Not just 3 man counters.

I've been pretty impressed with Stensness, he wins the ball in tight situations a lot and can pick a pass.

Haven’t seen much of GG.
But so many long balls coming in, so more Ariel ping pong then able to gain control.

Ariel duel amount would be massive
