ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Last week it had been a long time before I had been anywhere near as excited as I was about last Saturday's game.
This week, I can't remember the last time I've been this unexcited about a match. :(

That seems extreme. I'm nervous about it, but not unexcited.

I truly believe Saturday was an aberration. Okon won't tolerate another shitshow

I'm still despondent. And we were such a tactical failure that I'm a little concerned Okon may lack the flexibility to stop using something that doesn't work (as we saw in the FFA cup).

Very excited as I just won tickets to the netball Diamonds game at Qudos Arena tomorrow at 3pm. So now thinking we should pop along to the Mariners after it finishes.
Has anyone bought the Telstra tickets in the past ? Would we be surrounded by WSW ?

Way too early to determine anything about most teams this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how all matches turn out this weekend and see who has improved any. Drive By's were fired up over Popa leaving and definitely look a better team than last year with a fit Roly always a concern and he could have a big year if he maintains his form. That being said PG had some decent chances and cut through their defence with ease at times so I think they are suspect in defence however Risdon may improve that this week.

I was excited about round one but did have concerns about beating the Scum as the have re-built well this season. I will be watching with interest how they go against PG this weekend.

Good thing is I should be able to watch every game this weekend again.

Just seen the article on 442 where Foxe states we are vulnerable to a physical approach. Wish it wasn't true and the Ref didn't help by letting them get away with it. We need to prove that wrong this week or every team will try this approach.

We have a free spot maybe Franjic would be worth considering now he is free agent.

We've got 2 tough dms who've got a rep for being physical and Golec and Baro are not afraid of getting dirty. I don't think physicality is going to be a problem I believe we were just caught off guard. Maybe still in a bit of pre season mode. That's the defensive end. Up front we are ultra light weight and may get pushed around a bit. We will need the refs to protect our front third cause im guessing they will get monstered. Expect today for Thwaite to commit many yellow card fouls but get away with it like he always does.

I think it's more upfront where we get pushed around and then the turnover causes us to be exposed on the break.

Tom H got stuck in to a few tackles but Wout didn't. Wout had a bad game defensively. Looked real good in possession.

Now they know the preseason is different and you got to bring more.

Last night the AU guy said the A League is more physical and fighting for possession than Germany and that he liked that style. Might take a couple of games for our boys to adjust
