ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Moving on ....... :headbutt:
- Where to next ????????

After Ok's 'talking up' of an FFA Cup 'run' has now 'flown with the feathered ones', I cant see a lot of opportunities on the PS Game horizon, other than 'intra-club' skirmishes a'la 'CCM Fans Day' etc.

Soooo, after watching:
a) the Nix put in a shithouse performance v WSW (who were only slightly better themselves)
b) and seeing a shell-shocked Kenny Lowe- after Glory's pitiful display

Surely both of these coaches will be up for some A-League competition minus the synthetic grass (albeit .... behind closed doors most likely).

Both PG & the Nix struggle this time of year for PSGames, due in part to other A-League clubs hesitancy for the longer travel/ overnight cost.

CCM did a home/away with the Nix last pre-season, with our leg down at Knox Grammar.
But why not kill 3 birds with one stone ......

Shaun, ring Peter Filopoulos (Glory CEO) and convince him that a home/away 'friendly' between us & them (each pays their own costs) is in both our best interest's ... in the coming 4/5 weeks.

Then call the Nix and tee them up in between that home/away ... they'll be over for just the 2/2.5 weeks (they could rent out a training groundin either NSW, SA or WA)
- and 'all 3 of us' get some desperately needed PS-Games.

With quality NPL clubs nearing Finals, only the stupid &/or sub-standard 'cellar-dwellers' would be willing to play us between now and HAL start.

WE NEED GAMES !
....... & we need'm NOW !!

I know MC is a tight arse BUT very little analysis to gain from having an U8's 'Gala Day' :p

One of those 'can we afford NOT to spend the $$'s" scenario's ?? It's bugger- all $ in the greater scheme of things really, we did away to NZ last season, just another one to Perth and they reciprocate.

Don't bag the gala day. Good times.
But we took the piss at Know with full squad swaps. So gala day works perfectly

Melbourne City have closed door friendlies in the next 2 weeks against CCM and Jerks before FFA cup rd 16 game according to article on foxsports about them most probably signing a dutch defender from Pec Zwolle who Van Schip is coaching

So presume they coming up here if playing Jets as well

Keen to see that. City look to have a harder edge to them this season. Looking forward to seeing more.

So far only Bling, Victory and City have looked likey thus far.

Yeah - I know that - but a 442 writer saying both sides fielded strong teams when they wouldn't know who are in our squad means that report tells me nothing.

Melbourne City
Starting lineup: 1.Dean BOUZANIS, 2.Manny MUSCAT, 3.Scott JAMIESON, 6.Osama MALIK, 7.Nick FITZGERALD, 8.Neil KILKENNY, 11.Bruce KAMAU, 14.Daniel ARZANI, 21.Ruon TONGYIK, 23.Bruno FORNAROLI, 26.Luke BRATTAN

Bench: 18.Yaren SOZER, 12.Braedyn CROWLEY, 15.Denis GENREAU, 17.Tim CAHILL, 32.Christian CAVALLO, 35.Ramy NAJJARINE, 36.Dylan PIERIAS, 37.Nathaniel ATKINSON

Central Coast Mariners
Starting lineup: 1.Ben KENNEDY, 3.Josh ROSE, 5.Anthony GOLEC, 15.Alan BARO, 4.Jake MCGING, 6.Tom HIARIEJ, 16.Liam ROSE, 7.Andrew HOOLE, 12.Trent BUHAGIAR, 11. Connor PAIN, 17.Josh BINGHAM

Bench: 20.Tom GLOVER, 13.Kwabenea APPIAH, 23.Wout BRAMA, 21.Kai ROWLES, 8.Michael STOJANOVSKI, 10.Daniel DE SILVA, 14.Adam BERRY, 2.Storm ROUX

So McGing played RB??

Hoole is scoring for fun so that is a great sign.
Pity he missed a pen though but seems to be going well playing inside.

Kennedy makes his arrival after a podcast spray that he was still injured.

Giving up early goals still. 11th min this time

GOALS

1-0 City – Arzani 11’

Fitzgerald clipped a dangerous through ball for Arzani to chase and while Mariners keeper Ben Kennedy got their first, he fumbled the ball into the youngster’s path and he tapped into and open net.

Good start Ben. Looking very weak in the keepers. Glover better be good
