We need a backup keeper than Pearce. That may be Kennedy but we shouldn't be considering him until he is fully fit. I doubt we would get Glover who looks like he is entrenched in the Tottenham youth teams and TBH didn't look flash in the few games I saw in a relatively poor Premier League 2 side. Nizic has hardly played.

Of the ones you mentioned I'd be happy with Cisak or Oldfield. If Kennedy is signed as a backup keeper Bray becomes a worry because of the hint of injury susceptibility. I like him as a keeper but maybe a risk with another keeper coming back from injury So I would prefer Cisak and Oldfield with Bray only an option if the other keeper is one of those two.
I agree that Cisak/Oldfield, though I fear Cisak is out of our price range, seem like our best options at the moment, having just Kennedy and Pearce as our goalkeepers would be a major mistake imho. If we had Oldfield or Cisak as starting keeper and Pearce we could keep Bray on speed dial as an injury replacement. Spending money on three keepers when we need to make the most of every cent to compete with the big spenders doesn't make too much sense.

Cameron Crestani has been released from the Roar, Paolo's type of Centre half composed on the ball and able to hit a pass. Did well with Papadopoulos next to him would be a decent recruit.

I think we need more experience in the spine - we already have McGing, Ascroft and Liam as youngster centre-backs. Ansell while only relatively young has been around for a while and is a seasoned pro. If we sign another inexperienced player Paolo would probably compare him to Gallifuoco who he has had in the national teams.

Forgot about Gallifuoco, Ansell or Gallifuoco would probably be better options but Crestani possibly another for the injury replacement hotline?

Hoole is a good player but he is sloppy at times and a tad soft. I don't like the fact he is ex Scum but he was highly rated up there so it would piss their fans off.
With decent coaching he could be a very useful player.

From comments from various players it doesn't look Paolo or Ivan would take any of Hoole's tantrums. He's thoroughly up himself though and will leave as soon as he thinks he has a better offer so we would need to get his contract right if we were to sign him.

Hoole is so over rated

Gets into good positions then fluffs it big time. That's not what you want from an attacker

His shit fit at Newcastle was don't sign me stuff and he thinks he is good enough for overseas when he was trash at SFC.

Has talent but is a turd that can't be polished. No thanks

We should have a no Newcastle players rule for two reasons

They come with disease
And the Jets have been shit for a long time, so why are we recruiting from them

Not a good look Paulo

Nooooooo!

Kennedy is a reasonable keeper, but 'Headless Chook' Hoole? Sorry, don't rate him at all.

Why would we even consider cast-offs from the wooden spooners?
I think Hoole has potential, whether he will ever actually realize that potential is another question. As a minimum wage squad player he could be useful because in the technical aspect of the game he is superior to 99% of NPL players but at the same time his ego prevents him for being that sort of squad player. If managed properly by Paolo and Ivan as well as being completely locked down by a good contract I think he could be worthwhile but maybe is too much of a risk even then.

AU have just announced a few players are leaving
Cirio being one, so he is officially up for grabs

Also says they are in negotiations with Eugine and Currusca and one or two others. States neither party has agreed to anything but they are talking

Imagine if Eugine stayed at AU and Izzo was backbon the bench. Ouch dumb move if so

Cirio would be great I think, he was in great form before he got injured, should be able to get back his best after a full pre season. Wouldn't mind Makarounas as a minimum wage backup to a foreign number 10. Mells is an interesting one, Chelsea youth graduate, has links to Paolo through the Young Socceroos and was highly rated once upon a time. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a contract.
