The referee points table is a way for us to see how well referees are going in comparison to each other, in the same way we can see how well our A-League team is going every week.
Points are awarded to each referee based on how many fouls, yellow and red cards they award. The points are calculated as 1 point for every foul, 10 points for a yellow card, and 30 points for every red card awarded.

Following Saturday night's game in Sydney, a match review panel decided that Patricio Perez was guilty of simulation when he was tripped by Sydney FC Keeper, Liam "Stomper" Reddy. Reddy was given a straight red on the night and Perez scored from the penalty spot levelling the match at 1-1.
The match review panel overturned Reddy's red card and slapped a 2 match ban on the Mariners star attacking midfielder. Perez has been given no avenue of appeal, even though more evidence is coming out by the hour of his innocence.
