They beat us at home 1-2 last time we me. Do we have a chance?

Risdon is out for them from a red in the FFA Cup.

We have Monty out again with a calf strain.

Duke and storm will be back in the mix.

I think Caceres who imo has been our most consistent player in AM and has shown that he's more than capable playing that role, will be dropped to DM due to Monty's absence.
I think Mossy's starting line up will be:

...........................................reddy..........................................

Roux..................posco.......................rose..................neil...........

............................caceres......................hutch..........................

vernes................................trifiro................................fitzy...

........................................simon.....................................

I thought I'd add that, not only do I think you're right, for almost the first time in a while, I think I largely agree with that lineup... It should give them a bit of a runfer as well I think.
We were relatively competitive against Perff last time, I think we're a chance... A run has to come to an end at some point and, over the last couple of seasons we and Perff seem to have been each others banes, when it comes to ending a run, why should this time be any different?
It wasn't as impressive as I would have liked, but I think I'll try to hold on to my assertion that the WP game was going to be the turnaround point for the season. If that is to be the case, we should beat Perff in Perff... So 0-2, off Matty's boot and Duke's head (in the 85th) ;)

BrisRecky

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
well...to be honest I thoought the Nix would clean us up...so a point in this game is eminently possible

Maybe we are not actually completely awful.
We have had good spells in every game this year but never over the full ninety; there has yet to be a game where we have looked like actually winning it but that could all change this weekend :)

Def a chance.
Perth should be tired after a busy schedule and were ordinary against AU and they played for 5 mins against SFC (but that can be enough against us if we make mistakes.
No free kicks for Marinkavic will be very important.

Like to be positive, but we won't beat Perth if we can't take our chances and turn meaningless possession into meaningful attacking possession. Ticky tacky is shitt-y crappy if it doesn't amount to goaly woaly. Just ask Pep.

Ok...maybe not my most articulate post. But you get the point. Despite improvements, we still have only looked like the better side twice this year - and that was still for less than 60 minutes.

Re Caceres, I like him, always have, but he simply does not drive into dangerous positions enough for mine. A bit more ambition and he could be the answer at #10 - but our attacking impetus this year (or lack thereof) does not bare out the idea that he is as yet proven as a lock in for the job. But hey I think our squad balance is wrong, that our final third decision making is gravely lacking, and our final ball is too often the worst ball we play; a combination destined to destroy the confidence of forwards - which will then hide bigger issues. I'm not dismissing Dukey's bad run of form. But all strikers miss great chances. And the less you get...the more likely you will miss them, and look like you are the main problem.

A positive is that in patches some of our backline to midfield play this year has been terrific. Usually better when Posco has been on. But we scramble much less effectively than in seasons past and don't look as well organised to me. Mmm...still managed to finish on a negative. Well we haven't won in 9 after all...

Not sure Cacerass sits high enough up the pitch when playing no.10 he is to deep and therefore I think he is much more suited as a normal midfielder

I'd like our wing backs Storm and Neill to take a leaf out of the MV wingers and hit those early curling crosses that get behind the defenders. I know we play completely differently but storm especially could add that to his game. Storm gets caught taking his run to far sometimes and when he decides to do something it's to late he has run into the defender. He doesn't always turn it over but he loses momentum and the opportunity passes and he is forced wide or back. I'd like to see storm be a little more decisive when attacking.
