ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Ask Tom Rogic - he was never fit for a full 90 in the time he was with us or Melbourne.

Apparently he injured and also had a bout of illness.
Yep, the article i read was that Vernes got sick then had a couple of niggling injuries. Seems he's nearly ready to make the squad. With the competition for places pretty intense doesn't make sense to rush him in when he's not quite ready. I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

I only saw him play in the match against City, but I was impressed with what I saw. I'm also looking forward to seeing him in the real thing.

Are you guys serious? I really hope he just had a shocker in the FFA cup game then, then one where Sim replaced him in and the position and scored 4 goals.

Happy to be proven wrong and give him more chances and I'm actually happy people rate him.

Yes shipwreck .....I'm tipping you will be eating humble pie before too long. It was hardly a shocker and he was played totally out of position.

Would be the most delicious pie ever, we need all the help we can get and if you think he is a player better than anyone we have at the moment, I'm all for it

Yes...he looks a class above most of our squad.
During the preseason I think I saw what you are referring to, really nice first touch, quality ball control and a few great turns and player take-ons. During the FFA cup game these qualities were less evident, but I still believe with some time and fitness he could be anything

If you're planning on taking public transport tomorrow don't forget:
  • buses replace trains between Newcastle & Central, so allow plenty of extra time
  • your ticket includes travel on trains and the Moore Park shuttle buses

Sydney fans think they have this one in the bag, would love nothing more than an upset. Keys to success will be belief, do we still have the underdog belief any more or have the boys gotten used to being a good team? I've never rated him, but if ever needed a Matt Simon, it's for u this game
